Elder LaPray Nashville Tennessee

  Wednesday July 21st: Pday was so awesome today! We went up to bowling green with the elders from Madison along with the rest of our district and had a super good time. We played volleyball, went bowling, got ice cream and went and saw the fork in the road!! We came home and had a goodnight, we had coordination meeting as always and then found the rest of the night calling people and doing Facebook! Good day.  Thursday: Today was pretty basic, just a lot of finding, we did go to Franklin though to get a couple prescriptions from Walmart for my skin and we were supposed to have a dinner with members but they rescheduled for the actual dinner tomorrow and just brought us Tuna sandwiches. We did have a lesson with Frank and Diana though and the Calverts were able to come with us! We had a really hard time thinking of what to teach them only because there's nothing really pressing that they have shown interest in or want to know, but we were able to decide on reading from the Boo...

  Wednesday July 14th: Today was pretty sweet! We started off the morning golfing and I played decent. Then we went down to Madison and went to the mall, target, and got some food with the district. After that we went to the church and met up with some other missionaries and chatted for awhile, that was fun! We came home and went to dinner at the Miles' home. They are awesome. Directly after that we went to the Sundwall's and taught a lesson to their family focused on their son who is getting ready for baptism! It was a good day!  Thursday: Today was zone conference and that went well. I was able to see a few friends I haven't seen for awhile and some for the last time on the mission, crazy! Afterwards everybody planned on going to Buffalo Wild Wings. The AP's told us they couldn't go so a bunch of missionaries from our zone got together and we went to 3 different restaurants before finally finding a place to eat together!  W ednesday: Today was good! Elder Baker had a Dr appointment in the morning and then we went and played basketball and pickle ball with the district + the zls and stls. We had a fun time! We got lunch at this weird dairy farm place but I only got a watermelon sorbet, not bad. We came home talked to family and got ready, had coordination meeting, then did finding until the day was done!  Thursday: Today wasn't bad! We went to Cathy's house and taught a pretty good restoration lesson. She said it filled in so many gaps for her and was really excited to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and come to church this Sunday! Later we had a really cool experience of introducing someone Elder Baker used to teach, that moved away, to the missionaries in her new area. The only reason she didn't get baptized was because her parents wouldn't let her and so now that she is old enough and moved, she got put on date in that first contact!! So cool. Wednesday: Today was super laid back, our car was still in Bowling Green getting fixed so we just chilled at home, slept in, talked to family, fished, and waited. The Franklin Elders came over to hang out before they took us to get our car and guess what was wrong with our car?? There was a gosh dang squirrel nest in it!! Check the pictures below, so crazy, literally no idea how that happened... we drive it daily so no clue when it got in there?? Everyone including our driving coordinator and the mechanics were pretty shocked lol. We got our car and drove home and finished the night with some finding.  Thursday: Today wasn't too bad, we had two Book of Mormon drop offs in the morning, one wasn't home, and the other didn't seem all that crazy interested.   Wednesday June 16th: Today was kind of a lame pday but not the worst one I've had! We picked up doughnuts in the morning and then played basketball, spikeball, and talked to family. Then we went and got Popeyes, followed by hanging at the clubhouse, playing pool, and talking to family again. That was basically pday haha. We came home and went and visited the Roaches and also Candice and Aria to say goodbye to all them for Elder Myers. We came home and that was the day! Super sad to see Elder Myers leaving tomorrow, but it'll be okay.  Thursday: Well today was transfers! We went and dropped Elder Myers off at White House with Elder French to head to Nashville and Elder Baker came with me!   Wednesday June 9th: Today was good, but exhausting! We woke up at 6 and went to play basketball and we played hard for 2 hours. Then we went to waffle house and talked to family for a bit. After that we went to the church to play some more ball for another few hours and I was so dead after that. We came back to the Goodlettsville apartment packed up our stuff and headed home. We got ready had coordination meeting, then went to Cameron's had a good contact with him there just really discussion what he thinks the truth is and what he needs to do based on that answer. He said he would pray about it so hopefully he can do it sincerely and receive his answer and act on it!  Thursday: Today was good! We had a slow morning but watched a good mission devotional by Elder and Sister Tai. Things got super busy after that. We drove to the store to get some stuff for a recent convert who is trying to quit smoking for good. We picked up some supplies then went to go try and visit some lad...
