Moving in the rain

Wednesday: Today was good! Elder Baker had a Dr appointment in the morning and then we went and played basketball and pickle ball with the district + the zls and stls. We had a fun time! We got lunch at this weird dairy farm place but I only got a watermelon sorbet, not bad. We came home talked to family and got ready, had coordination meeting, then did finding until the day was done!

Thursday: Today wasn't bad! We went to Cathy's house and taught a pretty good restoration lesson. She said it filled in so many gaps for her and was really excited to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and come to church this Sunday! Later we had a really cool experience of introducing someone Elder Baker used to teach, that moved away, to the missionaries in her new area. The only reason she didn't get baptized was because her parents wouldn't let her and so now that she is old enough and moved, she got put on date in that first contact!! So cool. Other than that we celebrated Brother Calvert's bday at their home and ate dinner and then we did finding until bed time!

Friday: Today was pretty good! We weekly planned in the morning and really didn't do much for the first part of the afternoon. Around 4:45 we left to Madison for a baptismal interview for someone the sisters are teaching. I had the opportunity of conducting it and man Erik is such a cool guy! He was so prepared and it was so spiritual and honestly one of my best interviews to date! I was really happy with it and with him for the choices he's making, but not only that, the knowledge he has of those choices. Afterwards we all went out to eat with Erik and his family. We ate at Red Robin because Texas Roadhouse had way to long of a wait. It was still really good though. After we came back to the zone leaders apartment and did some finding and then we went and worked out at their gym. We are staying here tonight because the baptism will be tomorrow and it'd make no sense to drive all the way back haha, that's all for today though!

Saturday: Today was awesome! We woke up and just did work at the apartment during the morning, but then we went to Erik's baptism in the afternoon, he is still so awesome! Such a good experience to see him make that covenant with God. Afterwards we headed home, when we got home we had dinner followed by a night of finding, with nothing too big too report.

Sunday: Today was pretty good. Cameron made it to church again which is awesome, but we were hoping for a few others and they didn't show :(( hopefully soon!! The service was really good though! It was basically a whole day of finding after that but I had two super awesome experiences! The first was with this guy named Chris and I randomly called into him and said hello like 3 times but he didn't say anything... you'd be surprised how often this happens... anyway I said if you can hear me do this and pressed a key on the phone making the beep noise and 2 seconds later I hear beep. I was like no way!! For some reason he didn't want to speak but we taught the whole restoration doing that with him going beep for yes and boop for no. hahaha it was so funny, but so good! We ended up texting him after because he beeped yes that we could, and we found out his name and that he really liked it and thinks it could definitely be true! The next one was with this guy named Alajuwon. I've been texting him since January with very few responses but finally he called me randomly at 10:29 and so we sacrificed some sleep and taught him. It was such a spirit filled lesson, he is so cool, and he lives really close to where I used to live so we were able to talk about that a bit. Really cool experience of hard work paying off eventually. That's all.

Monday: Today was good! We did finding all day until about 5 when the zone leaders called and said this couple needs help moving. We go and get there at 6:20 and they have a 26 foot uhaul packed full, and it's just an elderly couple and us! We filled their shed, and 1 and half storage units finishing the job at 10. On top of that we got rained on in the process. It was good though, I'd rather do that then call people and message people on Facebook haha!!

Tuesday: Today was pretty decent nothing to crazy until dinner. That family we helped move yesterday, their son fed us dinne in Gallatin and they even gave us a ride so we didn't have to use miles!! Super kind of them, a few other missionaries joined as well and it was a good time. We had the opportunity to teach Frank and Diana about the Book of Mormon on the way home and they were pretty interested! We gave them each a copy and said we would be by to visit on Friday! We had a follow up lesson with this guy named Austin who we didn't think got too much out of the first lesson but he did! It was really good, even though we found out he drives a Ford!;) There's a lot of roadblocks for him with a busy life but he wants him and his family to be baptized so hopefully we can help him out! Then we called into a homeless man who was really humble, we shared the restoration and specifically focused on his purpose in life, it was really good and the elders where he's at are meeting with him Friday. It was a good day! Pday!
