Transferred to Portland, TN

 Wednesday March 31st: Today was good. We got some good rest in the morning and then went to the store. We picked up what we needed and then came home and changed and went to a sand volleyball court and played some volleyball with the district. Then we went to panda and then came home and talked to family. Pretty basic pday, not too bad just went super fast which was sad. Then we did some finding until about 8:30, with the interruption of someone in our apartment complex lighting their house on fire, so that was fun to check out. Afterwards we went to Garret's and had a super good lesson with him going over the baptismal questions, he is such a stud and I can't wait for the day he is able to be baptized, I definitely want to be apart of that! 


*Normally I have a calendar app that I will use to go back through and remember what we did each day of the week. At the end of the week if I forget to write in my journal, I can reference back to that but this week I do not have that haha So I'm going to just talk about the things I remember! 

Saturday and Sunday: Had a super good weekend listening to general conference. I took some great notes and loved all the talks! Before Priesthood session we had an ice cream social with the ward and it was super fun! Bishop Richards, Bro Merrill, Bro Castillo, and the Priests all took us out to dinner afterwards at a Mexican restaurant as well and it was super fun! We also received news that transfers will be happening Monday!! 

Monday: Today we drove down for transfers. I forgot my driving card in my old car so the Elders had to drive back and give it to me lol oops, but because they came back we were able to go to lunch with them at Hattie B's after and that was a lot of fun!! So, I'm with Elder Myers now, he's super cool, he's into basically everything I am, so no worries about getting along, just making sure we can work hard as well as have fun!! We came home unpacked and fished for dinner! We did a little bit of finding at the end of the night along with some members calls getting to know members here in the Ward!

Tuesday: Today we had district council and it went really well! We were fed after by a members and had a great time. The zone leaders were there as well. We did service for the Reimers afterwards and did some gardening, not a bad opportunity to get out! Afterwards we came home and worked hard and did some finding! It was a good day!! 







Brother Merrill is the best!

Woke up in the morning to finish packing. We then headed out for lunch at Riverside Country Club with my family, nana, grandpa, and grandma (papa is in Arizona playing in a golf tournament)It was nice to visit at lunch. Crying set in for a few of my siblings as we were getting ready to leave. We stopped at the Provo Temple for a few quick photos then headed toward the MTC. My checkin time was 12:30. It was a quick drop off as there was a line of cars. Maybe that made the goodbye a little easier for me. Now the work begins.  First MTC photo taken by my Aunt Sarah. We had to drive for 3 hours.......

  Wednesday January 6th: Today was honestly way fun. We went and played basketball in the morning with the zls for the first time in forever! It was actually competitive which was the best part! Then the sisters came and we messed around passing the ball to them and letting them try and play for the next 30 mins or so and then we all went to Chick Fil A and then played 9 holes of disc golf which was surprisingly pretty fun! After pday was over we had the most interesting lesson with a guy named Chris. We assigned him to read Alma 30 and he did, like insanely did, he had printed notes and everything and it was so dumb because he completely missed the message because he was caught up in the little details like what a testimony is, freedom of speech in that time, and rights and stuff like that, which would've been fine, except for the fact that he wanted to talk about each of those things for 20 mins and so the lesson went no where... kind of unfortunate but we are going to have one m...

Cave Boating

  Wednesday: Today was super cool! Elder Hamilton and I had a lazy morning, but then headed up to Bowling Green for the afternoon!! We did this super cool boat tour of the lost river cave, super awesome! We then went to Texas Roadhouse for the first time on my mission and that was bomb!! We came home and didn't do too much. Elder Baker and I had coordination meeting for the branch on zoom as always. Other than that did some Facebook work and taught a girl named Jazlyn over the phone a little about the Book of Mormon so hopefully we can teach her more in the future!  Thursday: Nothing super interesting today we did a lot of finding, taught a guy named Mayberry about the restoration, then sent him off to the sisters in Gallatin where he lives. Talked to a guy named James a bit about the plan of salvation, he accepted a baptismal invite, but it was super nonchalant, so we sent him off to the elders in Lafayette who cover his area.
