Ugh, the font has no water

Wednesday January 27th: Today was pretty sweet, sadly it flew by. We got a good rest in the morning and then went to Huddle House for brunch which is always a slap. Then we went to Walmart and got some cheap t-shirts to tie dye with the sisters. We went to the church, played some basketball, and then attempted to dye the shirts but only half of them worked and the others just didn't bleach... sad day, but the sisters took them home to try and do it later this week when they can! We came home and had a couple really good lessons!! One with Diona and one with Shawntay, we know Diona is not in our area but with Shawntay there is a chance so we will find out shortly. We also had an awesome lesson with Katie and member and she knows the basics so well, it is so cool to see how far she has come and is continuing to go! That was pretty much it though, not a bad day!!

Thursday: Today was super good! We taught 8 lessons!! We did a ton of finding and worked super hard, we invited 86 people to hear the restoration just today. We found 5 new people out of it. It was super good. The first lesson was going pretty well but sadly he didn't like the great apostasy and that was the end of that one... then we taught Lamar after we got Chick Fil A and it was pretty good lesson. We asked a couple questions for understanding and he didn't do so hot lol so we tried to reteach and he seemed to do a little better and he wants a Book of Mormom so we set him up with the missionairies in his area. We taught Tashawna and it went super well! She went to do a church tour the same night with some other elders closer to her! We taught lacy who was super busy with kids, so we didn't get to far there... then we taught a dude named Stanlee who in his own words is (from the hood) he was super loud and really believes all the same things we do but didn't realize it which was kinda funny but he said we could meet up next week. Then we taught a semi truck driver named Cole who lives in Texas, long story short the missionaires there will be getting him a bom soon. Then we taught Garret who is super interesting as always talking about zombies and Egyptian mythology and more weird stuff. Finally I was able to start one more restoration lesson on Facebook at night and we set up a time to keep talking tomorrow. It was a good but tiring day, ready for bed.

Friday: Today was pretty good! Just had a lesson in the morning with a guy and it went really well until Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon then he just got weird but we committed him to meeting up tomorrow! Other than we just did weekly planning and found, nothing much more to it. Kind of a slow day!

Sat: WOOOOOW today was BUSY AND STRESSFUL, but really good. We woke up and headed to the church, we got the programs printed for both baptisms and folded them all and set everything up, and then we turned the font on and the pressure was really slow, but we figured it'd be fine and went to study. We came back about 30 mins later and the pressure had zeroed out, nada, nilch no agua. Instant panic. We had an hour until the baptism and about an inch of water. We started filling up trashcans of water from the janitors closet and dumping them in with little success, we were calling members doing everything we could to get this figured out. Finally we got a member to bring a hose anddd it didn't reach, so we proceeded filling trash cans. Then the sisters show up with a hose and we connected the two and "would you look at that, just look at it" It reached. Still we were very short on time so we only got about 3/4 of the font filled and it was lukewarm because we had to run the cold water to have enough water. The baptism went really well though and the spirit was strong. We went to lunch with brother Merrill at Wendy's and had a good time with the whole district eating our food back at the church. We then filled the last 1/4 of the font with hot water and of course there was no stress for the sisters baptism and the water was steamin hot, sounds about right *eye roll*! Their baptism went awesome too and because they are sisters they had a whole bunch more decorations and cute ideas and it made us feel dumb lol but at this point we were just happy we had water for ours. Honestly after all that madness, not much else happened the rest of the day. We taught a couple lessons but nothing as crazy as earlier, it was a good day, all paid off.

Sunday: Today was real good! Melissa and Nadia received the Holy Ghost in Sacrament Meeting and it was aweosme! We did some studies in the afternoon, did a lot of finding and taught 2 restoration lessons and set up return appointments and then we had a great discussion with another guy on the atonement and set up a time to call him back. Later we taught the plan of salvation to another lady and she just hung up on us near the end which was unfortunate. We had our missionwife devotional as always and that was the day!

Monday: Today was sweet! Had a really good district council and then went to lunch at Taco Bell! We really just did a lot of finding throughout the afternoon but at night we had a lesson with a girl named Amber. We spent 30 mins teaching the restoration just for her to say she wasn't interested... she had seen the Book of Mormon play and basically just thought we were lunatics, no idea why she wasted both of our time on that call. However!! Then we had an amazing lesson with a dude named Twon and HE ACTUALLY LIVES IN OUR AREA. We are going to drop off a bom to him tomorrow. He seems so cool. I'm pumped. We had a super interesting lesson with a couple named polowca and Ruth, with about 15 mins of convincing and testifying I was able to get them to agree to a bom drop off, we had to teach very simply and slow, and over and over again with them and it definitely was a patience tester, but they live in another area so now it's up to those elders lol. I had a leadership call to finish out the night and that was also good!

Tuesday: Today was great! We got to drop off that Book of Mormon to Twon. It went awesome, he is so cool. Had a great talk with a guy named David, his grandmother was a member and so he vividly remembered our church but not much, I think I eased his mind on a lot of stuff he didn't really remember but thought he did. He wasn't interested in changing but he was really just such a great dude, he said to save his number which is I believe the first guy to tell me that on my mission lol. God is preparing him, he will be a member one day, just not yet, planting seeds. Had another super annoying lady that claimed to have done "tons of study" but claimed Paul was before Christ and I called her out and she was like "oh yeah uhh, uhh"... it was so dumb. Kinda funny though. Then we had an aweosme lesson with a YSA age girl named Jordan and she had great questions. She definitely has tons of potential!! We had the opportunity to talk to the teachers quorum at their activity tonight and they just asked us questions and it was really spiritual. Just so cool how they can look up to me now, such a difference from how things used to be. I hope they have an easier experience than I did, but really that all comes down to them and their choices, just like I know my hardships were nobody's fault but my own! I had amazing parents, family support, and church leaders who taught me right from wrong. It was my choice to sometimes choose wrong which made things harder for me, but I learned. I know that was what God needed me to do. He will teach all those kids in the ways they need to be taught as well! We played basketball, volleyball, and ate tacos and ice cream after that. Followed by finding which didn't come with much success. A good day.
