Happy Halloween, I'm Not Dead Yet!

 Week 88

Wed: Today was good. We went and played basketball and then went and ate with the Manchester Hermanas and Brother Lynn for the last time as today is transfers. Elder Allred left and that was sad, but it'll be okay! Elder Richins is here now and he seems dope! We had an amazing lesson with Blake and Tammie teaching the restoration and Tammie seemed to really enjoy it! Other than that we contacted a lot of people trying to find, but nothing too crazy tonight!
Thur: Today honestly not too much went on. The highlight was definitely the baptismal interview I was able to do for this lady named Phyllis in Pikeville over messenger. She did great and so that was awesome! We went and visited Steven and nothing too much happened with that... we are going to have to stop going by for awhile. The church set up decorations for Halloween tomorrow and it looks crazy! They went all out! Super excited for tomorrow!
Fri: We had a good weekly planning today! And then we had an awesome time teaching Kimberly about the temple, and some of the commandments. It is so cool that we have so much knowledge that others lack, missionary work is so important!! We need to be sharing these truths with all we can, what a blessing to know our ancestors can be baptized, what a blessing to know we can be sealed to our families for eternity, others don't know this, go to tell someone about it! We had an amazing time at trunk or treat tonight as well with the ward, and they had us judge the chili for the chili cook off! That was a fun time forsure!!
Sat: Today was fun too. We taught Justin the restoration again and it was much needed. He was able to understand this time much better and asked many more questions. The Spirit was really strong and it is so powerful to see how the gospel changes people, and how a testimony of the Book of Mormon really can develop in a person. We also set up the projector for stake conference tonight and tomorrow and had a good time watching that, and fishing out the night doing some calling!
Sun: Had Stake conference today and Kimberly and Justin were able to come which was awesome! There were some amazing talks given and it was a really great service! We also had dinner with Bryan's and they are a very kind family!! Then we came home because we had to be in at 6 due to Halloween and we finished out the night working at home and then having our devotional as always!
Monday: Today was mission leadership council again at the mission office in Brentwood. It was fun to see some friends I haven't seen in awhile. The Spirit was really strong as always there and we were able to make some really good plans for the mission and specifically our zone here in McMinnville! It was pretty exciting! Then we had dinner with the Davenport's and they are so awesome! Funny thing happened though, lunch was provided at MLC and it was chili and hotdogs and guess what was for dinner, you guessed it chili and hot dogs I was like what are the chances of that haha. We were able to work hard the rest of the day after though and there wasn't too much that happened after that!
Tue: Today was district council and I'll be honest it was not very good, we are really trying to help the certain district that we attended today to find more energy, drive, and motivation! We did have a good lesson with Kimberly though going over the commandments and talking about the law of chastity. It was a decent lesson, she's the best and we love her, we are just trying to make sure she fully understands what's going on. We had some other good calls with Chris, Brad and Avery, and Johnny. Chris has a hard time making up his mind, but he definitely needs the gospel and we were very loving bold about that, so hopefully we can meet with him and his family soon. Avery is Brad's son who we called and Brad jumped on and kind of tried to tell us what we believe, but we ended up discussing further and he agreed to a call back so that was cool! Johnny was really nice, he's living in Washington right now, but knows some members and he was just very open, kind, and just a good dude, it was really refreshing to talk to him to say the least.
Along with that something I would like to share with you all is I want to invite all of you to be kind. Smile at someone, wave to people, say hi to those passing by, serve people, love God and love your neighbor. We live in a world that is becoming more and more selfish daily and with selfishness comes wickedness. I know that as each of you do kind things for other people daily, you will be making a difference and in turn you will be happier. I'm grateful for Jesus Christ's perfect example of kindness, and love for others, try to be like Him, and you will be well off!
