Chicken Sandwich Face-off

Wednesday February 3rd: Today was sweet! We went and fished in the morning at the Ross' pond, (no relation to the Ross' in Provo ha) It was super cold so the fish weren't too active... we only caught one fish and Elder Thacker caught it. We came home and had a campfire with the district and cooked hotdogs and smores and played games. We had a good time and then we came home and talked to family until pday was over. After pday we got back to work, to be honest nothing really worth reporting on, just a lot of finding and rejection. It was a good day though!

Thursday: Today was alright. Watched an MTC devotional, Elder and Sister Scofield came to do our apartment inspection (they were impressed, see mom I do know how to clean!) We did some finding, had a Facebook meeting, had a super quick lesson talking to Desiree about the Book of Mormon. Had a really spiritual lesson with Ciera. We just don't really know what to do from here, she's been taught basically everything, we are just waiting on that decision now. We dropped off a Book of Mormon to Desiree and then finished the night out on some finding. I'm just going to be honest, I need to repent for today, I know I could have worked harder, I'm going to be better.

Friday: Today was awesome!! We did some service for Sister Lopez in the ward this morning along with Brother Merrill who is the best. Then we got Popeyes and honestly, first time trying their chicken  sandwich, it is a very challenging competitor to chick fil a's sandwich, I'm not going to say I've decided, but one is not above the other as of right now! Have to give Zaxbys a shot soon. Anyways, we then did our weekly planning on the way to drop a Book of Mormon off to Bobby (more to come on that). Then had dinner followed by some finding and then we had a lesson with Bobby over the phone with the Sisters from Portland, Tennessee. The lesson was INCREDIBLE! He is so hype!! He said he has been in his church for 7 years but the Holy Ghost is making him do a 360 and he is so down to be apart of the true church. He accepted a baptimal date for the 6th and wants us to call everyday before then haha, it will be worth it if he continues to keep commitments and show his dedication! We had a zone call to finish off the night and that's about it!!

Saturday: Today wasn't too shabby! We had a bad lesson in the morning with Kendra  though... she was busy at work and we knew it would probably be our only chance so we decided to share a message to her anyway and she was preoccupied, didn't care, didn't agree with what she did hear, and then didn't want a call back... we had an amazing lesson with a lady named Keisha though in the afternoon. We taught the restoration and she loved it!! It was so awesome!! Called a bunch of formers with no success, then called Kevin had a good lesson on the plan of salvation and dropped a Book of Mormon off to him. Helped Melissa set up her church account. Then did a lot of finding, had a coordinating meeting, then had a really good lesson with Loraine teaching the restoration again!! So it was a good way to end off the day!!

Sunday: Had a pretty good day!! Church was awesome, we only had one investigator come, Garret. It was a very spiritual meeting though! We did a lot of finding in the afternoon had a good gospel study class. We had another lesson set with Bobby and he was determined to make it, but he answered the phone and you could tell he wasn't doing well. We bore strong testimony and the spirit was super present and then we let him go to get some rest. We delivered a Book of Mormon to this guy named Bobby and it was SO GOOD! He's been watching a ton of the churches on YouTube videos and was just so prepared, he was so excited to read! We had another lesson with a dude named Daquan, he didn't seem super interested but we scheduled a call back tomorrow and we will see if it can't go somewhere! We finished off the day with the mission devotional, departing testimonies, it was kinda sad to see some familiar faces go, but you can tell they are excited so I'm happy for them!

Monday: Had an awesome district council! The Sango Sisters gave a great training on the why of missionary work! The zone leaders came to and it's always fun to hang out with them! We went to lunch after and I bought lunch for the Sango sisters because we did a challenge on inviting people to Sacrament as a district and they won *eye roll* of course we went to the most expensive place we've gone all transfer too lol! We went back to the church after and filmed a video for our page! Oh forgot to mention Randy from last night got super mega anti after he found the dark side of youtube about our church. He said he has a really dark dream and the Book of Mormon brought demonic spirits into his house and so he rebuked us and said we needed to repent for spreading our demonic religion lol it was great, we tried to go knock on his door and explain things to him but he wouldn't answer, oh well. Also, Daquan canceled on his lesson, shoot. We had a really good lesson with Ciera over zoom though, just reading 1 Nephi 1 and it was sweet! We had three good lessons with Lakreshia, Elliot, and Julie also and they are all new people!! We have a goal to find 18 people this week so we are pretty pumped! We found 18 2 weeks ago, so it's definitely possible!! Let's go!! Then we finished off with a good leadership call!

Tuesday: Had a good day full of finding!! Got the chance to give Zaxbys a shot like I planned on today. Didn't reach the expectation sadly, the other two are still definitely above its tier. We got to go to Nadia's and give her a blessing and teach a lesson to her son and that was fun! We had a good lesson with Bobby reading the introduction! We taught the gospel study class and talked about member and missionary work and it went really good! We got transfer news and we are staying the same!! Played some ball at the church and that wrapped up the day!
