Lots of teaching=Lots of progress

Wednesday December 9th: Had a good nap in the morning followed by a post office trip and then to the barbershop! We got cuts from Brother Border in the ward and he's awesome! Long haircuts though! We were there for 2 hours!! Then we headed back and talked to family for a bit and then went to Walmart to get all our supplies and then came home and talked to family until pday was done. We went to the church for a lesson we were supposed to have but he didn't show up... we did a tiny bit of finding there and then came home and finished the night off finding and we had a couple of lessons on the phone! Not too bad of a day, it was fast though :(

Thursday: Today FLEW by it was crazy! We started off the morning with some Facebook work then Elder Eccles had a portugués lesson and then we watched an MTC devotional until lunch. We had a lesson with a guy named Zach we found yesterday calling people and he seemed really cool but sadly he lives in Nashville so we shipped him off to the missionaries there! We had a Facebook meeting and then another lesson with a really cool dude who this time lives in hopewell Virginia! So we shipped him off too! We had dinner and then had a couple more mini lessons in the evening with a lot of contacting and finding and then had a comp call with the sisters and the day was done!

Friday: Oh my goodness today was something else lemme tell ya! We started off the morning with a lesson with Chris, that guy from last week! And we got the appointment set in stone just last night so we were scrambling to get a member there and so we called up our buddy Jack who's 12 and invited him. He always gets up and bears his testimony. He gave a talk a few weeks back and he's just a stud. Well anyways, we told him we were going to teach the plan of salvation and he said this is going to be my first conversion at 12 years old! And we were like hey alright we like the faith! Well this man went off! Not only did we cover the plan of salvation, but he talked about becoming like God, the word of wisdom, in depth millennium, fast and testimony meeting, literally he dumped everything he knew on this man. Which was to be 100% absolutely incredible, at 12 years old! I knew Joseph Smith was a prophet and he translated the Book of Mormon and I went to church on Sunday and I did baptisms at the temple but heck that was about the extent of my knowledge up until the MTC haha! So I was blown away and I think Chris was too! So luckily he was just more in awe that this kid knew all this stuff rather than really taking it in deep. He ended up accepting a baptismal invite to be baptized on the 28th of December at the end of the lesson which we are pumped for! In the afternoon we did weekly planning and then had a lesson with Garret just reading Lehi's vision of the tree of life. Then we had a guy who lives a couple doors down knock our door and asked us to help him move some stuff so we did and long story short he said he'd love to talk to us again! We had a lesson with Jack's (from earlier) parents and Ciera at night and taught the restoration and they were awesome!! They clicked so well and Ciera was very open and she really took it all in and accepted a soft baptismal invite if God answers her prayers! It was a really, really good lesson! We came home and had our zone call that we do every week and that was interesting and that wrapped up the day, lots of lessons, LOTS of principles taught, it was goood!

Saturday: Today was pretty good! We did a lot of finding in the morning! Then went to the church just to be present for the gender rule while some other elders had a lesson with 2 ladies. We got some lunch and then headed home. A little later we headed back to the church and then had a really good lesson with Melissa and 2 members from the ward! We taught the restoration and the spirit was definitely present, but she'll need to be taught it again. We aren't sure how much of it clicked. It was a really good lesson though! Then we came home had dinner and then finished the night off with a lot of finding and some more comp calls with the sisters!

Sunday: Today was good, we started off with a really good ward council and I just feel like this ward is my home, I love it here! Later we had a great church service and Chris, Garret, and Melissa were all able to make it which was awesome!! During the afternoon we had a great comp study, an aweosme lesson with brother Pratt from the ward, and then joined in for the gospel study class! Had a good dinner and then had a great lesson with a guy named Jon. We taught him the restoration, it was sweet! Then we did some finding, made some calls, dropped off brownies and then hopped onto the mission devotional for the departing missionaries testimonies. It was quite sad, but good!

Monday: Today was pretty good! We had district council in the morning which is always nice! Then we got some sriracha steak pizza from Luigi's which is a slap *delicious for those who don't know the term* for the afternoon portion of the day we did a lot of finding, a comp study, and Elder Eccles got asked by some missionaires in the mission to be a translator for some Portuguese people so that was fun to watch. We got special permission to do dinner at a member house because they invited our friend Ciera. We had a pretty good lesson on the plan of salvation afterwards! We came home and I had a bunch of leadership assignments I had to do so I did those and that wrapped up the day!

Tuesday: Today was good! We had a lesson with our guy Chris in the morning and made his baptismal calendar. It's very strange, I've never met someone who's so down, yet so unenthused, so hopefully we get a better read on that soon enough! We did some finding in the afternoon then went to bishops house to get a little video for our Facebook page and then went to another members house and had a good discussion with her and her kids! We came home and did finding to finish off the night and then called it good! Pday pday pday!
