First Baptism

Wednesday April 8th: Pday was sweet! Woke up and sent out a ton of emails and got to talk to a lot of people I've been missing so that was sweet! If I didn't email you and you are reading this I miss you too so send me an email, I'd love it. Then we went to the church and got the church tv set up for zone conference tomorrow, went shopping, then switched the car with the Elders we trade with each week. Had an awesome time talking to family and cleaning the apartment, then had two great lessons after 6! Good pday forsure! Snooze

Thurs: Woke up and headed to zone conference which was mission wide, and it was over a zoom call so it was super weird, but I gave the opening prayer! Elder Ballard and I also gave a demonstration on what we do when we call inactive members, that went good! We went to David's to give him a blessing and got to talk for a bit with him which is always fun! Came home and ate and took care of some business then Elder Bagshaw and Elder Howe (traveling AP's) stopped by. They are way cool Elders and they'll be leaving on the 23rd so I'm glad I got to meet them and get to know them a little more before they leave! Elder Howe is crazy on the guitar and Elder Bagshaw likes the same music as me and I love talkin music! Also speaking of that got some music from my fam today which was sweet. Today was awesome! Lights out.

Fri: Had an awesome day! Woke up fasted which was so hard today I was starving... but I did it. We were able to get work done this morning, so that was good! Got called to the church to give a blessing to a Sister that got sent home because of the coronavirus and she is deciding whether or not to go back out and so I gave her a blessing of comfort and related to her in a lot of ways talking to her after and so I hope I helped. Sister Dunaway hooked us up again with chick fil a, peach cobbler pies, ice cream, and cinnamon rolls. Best way to break my fast forsure. Had an awesome lesson with Barbara SO STOKED FOR THE BAPTISM TOMORROW!! Elder Murphy had to go home cuz of the coronavirus as well so best of luck to him ;(. So Elder Holbrook is staying the night! Bed!

Sat: Wow today was so great! Definitely one of THE days I'll remember when I'm home! My first baptism and Barbara is so awesome! It was so spiritual, and I'm so lucky that I am here to be apart of it. We got to see the AP's Elder Fisher and Mackenzie because they came to grab Elder Holbrook and that was fun! Edler Davis is his new comp, and hes a pretty lurpy dude, but he seems real cool, I'm excited to get to know him his last 8 days on the mish haha! Had a great lesson with a referral who referred herself to learn more about Christ, and she is awesome! Hopefully that goes somewhere and we have another lesson planned with her tomorrow! So excited to open all my presents tomorrow thank you so much to everyone who sent me something, you have no idea how happy and special it made me feel receiving all those packages/letters! Goodnight!

Sun: My birthday!!! Wow wow what an awesome day for real! I have felt so loved and special today and I am so grateful to all my friends and family who reached out! Even members of the ward reached out that we've taught a few times and I didnt even know they knew my name cuz I still haven't been to church here haha! It was amazing! We had an awesome sacrament with Sister Wauford, had a sweet time talking to my family and cousins! Had a great lesson with Tonya on the phone again and then an another awesome sacrament with David and Barbara! David made me a Pie! I'm so grateful for him and all he does for me! Then we finished the night with a mission wide zoom call and all the Elderen and Sisteren (lol I joke by calling them that I know it's not correct, I promise I'm not that dumb) that are departing April 23 bore their testimonies! It was great and kinda sad cuz some are leaving earlier than expected cuz of the virus but I only knew two of them, so it wasn't as sad for me as it was for others! Great testimonies though, it is weird that will be me someday! Night!

Mon: Geezo another awesome day, and yall know I don't sugar coat or lie! The past three days have been so awesome. We got up and nothing special in the morning happened, but we were able to get to district council and meet up with the AP's, zone leaders, salem elders, and west Fork sisters and I love talking and hanging out with other missionaries, so that started my day off great! Then we had a good lesson with Sister James talking about the plan of salvation which is my favorite lesson. Then got some bojangles for lunch, then dropped a large print Bible and plan of salvation pamphlet off to Tonya and we just knocked and left it at the door. She called 2 mins later and was so sweet and appreciative and said we should have come in to visit. We told her we so badly wish we could but want to keep her safe and follow the guidelines of socail distancing! Then we went to David's and dyed eggs that we were supposed to dye yesterday but got too busy and he showed me one of his glass pieces that was so cool and I won't even say how much it costs... then we had a good time in comp study and reporting on some things. Finally, sleep.

Tues: Decent day, got a ton of work done. Had 5 lessons via technology, so for everyone who thinks the missionaries are just hanging out right now, some may be, but for the Tennessee Nashville Missionaries we are still grinding out here and keeping busy! Had a super good dinner with some slap your mama seasoning! Dropped a large print Book of Mormon off to Tonya and now some good ole rest.
