McMinnville Exchange!

Wednesday: Today was pretty chill, we went and played basketball, hung out at home and talked to friends and family, I got a hair cut, and then we went shopping! We had a good night of work, talked to a few people and found a cool guy named David on the phone! He was super complimentary and we became good friends even though we believed differently and because of that he was interested in talking more so that was a good lesson for me.

Thursday: Today was pretty good! We were driving by an apartment complex and I saw this lady outside, I knew we should talk to her and swung into the parking lot. We shared the restoration with her, her name is Kimberly and she seemed really receptive! We set a return appointment and told her we'd bring a member back with us! It was so cool! Then we went and dropped off a Book of Mormon to Breanna at her work and her hecking Baptist Co workers made it super awkward and so we ended up testifying to all of them about the message we share, but you could tell Breanna was super uncomfortable which was really unfortunate and to be honest I'm not sure we'll hear from her again. We stopped by the lady Champagne's home and taught her the gospel she was interested and said we could return to teach more! We also visited Jay and he said hes been reading the Book of Mormon which was really cool! We talked about prayer and the Holy Ghost with him and got an updated phone number which was good!

Friday: Throughout today we had a text conversation with Isaac teaching him about the Book of Mormon and that went awesome! We set some chairs up for brother Lynn's dentistry class' graduation and he took us out to lunch after and also came with us to a lesson with Steven. Brother Lynn bore really awesome testimony and gave a ton of biblical evidence for the restoration, but sadly I think it went over his head, but we saw a little bit of progression from him, so that was good hopefully we can see him at church. We had a super long call with Sister McGregor talking about recent converts and getting them to the temple and that went good. Then we had a visit with Cyndy, and she was super kind and it actually went really really well! She wasn't feeling great so we couldn't stay long, but it was surprisingly good! Then we had dinner at the Hernandez' and that went good! Other than that we had a few little lessons that went well we dropped off a Book of Mormon, and helped a member get a shake who had been feeling sick, so good productive day overall!

Saturday:Today was pretty sweet! We had a lesson with Kimberly and it's so wild, she totally has a testimony of the Book of Mormon. She's read like 2 chapters and loves how simple it is and she also said she's seen a noticeable change in her days since reading, just more energy and happier! We talked about Alma 32 and faith and it went fantastic! We had a member there and she agreed to even give her a ride to church so that was great! We did some service for a member family after and that was good, they gave us lunch! We later had a few more lessons with April and Chris, Chris is an less active member and April is his girlfriend. We shared the restoration and it went okay, they are interesting people. We also had a lesson with Nicholas and he's not very committed which is hard, he is also very of the world and makes comments such as I can't ever see myself not doing so and so, and so we aren't sure if he's willing to change which is unfortunate, but we'll see what happens. Lastly we shared a scripture with Hazel who was a formerly taught person and she was interested in getting a copy of it for herself so we made plans to do that tomorrow!

Sunday: So Today we had 11 people who said they would come to church but sadly only 2 showed, however one of them was Kimberly and she is so awesome! She loved church!! We had ward council before and a little meeting after as well for the recent converts and planning for temple trips etc. I went and got an office chair for free from this lady off Facebook market place! Sadly, neither her or her husband were interested, but I got a nice chair haha! After that we dropped Book of Mormon off to Hazel and talked with just about everyone in her complex, and that went okay! Nothing else too crazy though!

Monday: Today was pretty decent! We had an awesome district council in McMinnville and then went to lunch at Wendy's! We came home and did some work. At around 6:30 we had a good restoration lesson with this guy named Austin and then we headed to a less active family's home and had dinner with them, they spoke little English and mostly Spanish and since I'm on exchanges with the McMinnville elders I was the only one who didn't speak Spanish, I guess the same thing applies for the elders I live with normally, but oh well. I learned quite a bit and it was a good time! We came home and played some games to finish off the night and that was it!

Tuesday: Today we had the opportunity to visit a few formers and we found a lady named Lauren who was super interested in talking more and she said the other 6 people in her home would be as well! We also visited with Trad, Shayla, and Adolfo as well! Adolfo's lesson was incredible though, we started talking about the Book of Mormon and his testimony is so strong, he literally knows its true he was talking about events such as Lehi and his family traveling to the Americas as well as Christ visiting the people like it was facts, as it is! We put him on date for the 6th of November, He's awesome!! We had a Spanish lesson in the evening so I just sat there and Elder Told taught lol, it was cool though to be able to listen and see how much I knew! My head hurt after haha. We had a phone call with the girl named Katelynn at the end of the night studying the Bible and that went decent too!
