Zone Conference, President Interviews, and an AP exchange??

Wednesday April 21st: Today was pretty good. We went to go get Elder Myers a haircut in the morning and then got our shopping done. Later we headed to Bowling Green to go to the mall. Elder Myers got some pants to match his suitcoat because his other ones ripped haha. Then we picked up Panda and went and ate at the church! We got done there and wrapped up the day playing pickleball with the district. We came back to Franklin and worked with the Franklin Elders for the majority of the night. We got a car wash on our way home and the guy who owned it was giving it some work and we ended up getting a free wash, so that was nice!! That wrapped up pday! 

Thur: Today was zone conference, always a good time! We got bdubs after of course! Then we tried to find some Tim Tams at Walmart with no luck. We headed home and saw a giant Indian statue so we had to get some pics with it! After that we came home and had a really successful night! We had a lesson with Wanda reading 2 Nephi 31 and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. That lesson was super spiritual and Elder Myers and I taught really well, but she is interesting and we didn't get the results we were hoping for. After that, we found two super cool people one of them named Ralph who we gave a rundown of the Book of Mormon and set up a time to call Sunday, and Caroline who we did the same thing with except instead of Sunday, Wednesday! Super good! The last thing we did was have a lesson with a minister lol. We bore testimony over and over and really put everything on the table but he wanted to leave it there, we know we did what we could though, and everyone has their agency. It was a good night! 

Fri: Today we did some service for Lisa in the morning cleaning her above ground pool, cutting bushes, and fixing holes in the pool. It was good! We came home and had lunch then headed to a lesson with a girl named Tequila. She has a wild home life and so it was really hard for her to focus, but it went well for the most part and her and her Nephew committed to come to church this Sunday! On our way home we saw some dudes playing basketball and so we played with them, it was super super fun, one of them was dang good too. Afterwards we got their numbers and talked about calling sometime to share a message, so win win! Came home and burned Elder Myers shirt and tie because he hadn't done either for his 18 months! Then we had a lot of contacts to finish out the rest of the night, we got in touch with a few people but nothing huge! 

Sat: Had a good weekly planning this morning followed by Subway for lunch. We tried to go visit Mercy and Candace again, but instead Rattlesnake (that's what he told us his name was and said he denied to comment further when we asked why and then winked, SUPER weird lol) answered and he said to try back another day. We had the bonfire livestream and really other than that, not much! Just a lot of contacting and finding! 

Sun: Had a great church service today and Candice came!! The Branch did a great job fellowshipping and the talks were very good! We think she enjoyed relief society too! It might have been a little much for her right off the bat, but it was good she was able to experience it!! Honestly nothing much else happened the rest of the day though, we did a little fishing in our pond with the Franklin Elders at dinner and had the mission devotional at night, but that was about it! 

Mon: Today was super good! We had district council in Madison in the morning then went to Panda, came back and had interviews with President which went really well! Afterwards we had a "findathon" with the district and we found 14 people I believe in about 2 1/2 hours all together. It was really good! The AP's were with us too, so they helped. We came home after and got Little Ceasars. The AP's are staying with us until Tuesday evening so it was fun hanging and working with them tonight! We had an amazing lesson with the recent convert in the area brother Groves and it was a great experience teaching the plan of salvation. He is awesome!! We found for the rest of the night though and that was it!! 

Tue: Today was super good. Caught some fish with the AP's during our lunch break. Had a really good lesson at Joan's house with all four of us! Saw some massive grass carp in our pond at dinner that I have now dedicated myself to catching before I leave. And finished out the night finding. Honestly just a great day, but so excited for pday!

Entering the Missionary Training Center

Woke up in the morning to finish packing. We then headed out for lunch at Riverside Country Club with my family, nana, grandpa, and grandma (papa is in Arizona playing in a golf tournament)It was nice to visit at lunch. Crying set in for a few of my siblings as we were getting ready to leave. We stopped at the Provo Temple for a few quick photos then headed toward the MTC. My checkin time was 12:30. It was a quick drop off as there was a line of cars. Maybe that made the goodbye a little easier for me. Now the work begins.  First MTC photo taken by my Aunt Sarah. We had to drive for 3 hours.......

  Wednesday January 6th: Today was honestly way fun. We went and played basketball in the morning with the zls for the first time in forever! It was actually competitive which was the best part! Then the sisters came and we messed around passing the ball to them and letting them try and play for the next 30 mins or so and then we all went to Chick Fil A and then played 9 holes of disc golf which was surprisingly pretty fun! After pday was over we had the most interesting lesson with a guy named Chris. We assigned him to read Alma 30 and he did, like insanely did, he had printed notes and everything and it was so dumb because he completely missed the message because he was caught up in the little details like what a testimony is, freedom of speech in that time, and rights and stuff like that, which would've been fine, except for the fact that he wanted to talk about each of those things for 20 mins and so the lesson went no where... kind of unfortunate but we are going to have one m...

Cave Boating

  Wednesday: Today was super cool! Elder Hamilton and I had a lazy morning, but then headed up to Bowling Green for the afternoon!! We did this super cool boat tour of the lost river cave, super awesome! We then went to Texas Roadhouse for the first time on my mission and that was bomb!! We came home and didn't do too much. Elder Baker and I had coordination meeting for the branch on zoom as always. Other than that did some Facebook work and taught a girl named Jazlyn over the phone a little about the Book of Mormon so hopefully we can teach her more in the future!  Thursday: Nothing super interesting today we did a lot of finding, taught a guy named Mayberry about the restoration, then sent him off to the sisters in Gallatin where he lives. Talked to a guy named James a bit about the plan of salvation, he accepted a baptismal invite, but it was super nonchalant, so we sent him off to the elders in Lafayette who cover his area.
