Week 52

Wednesday February 10th: Today was good! Had a good nap in the morning and then went to the church. We played basketball, talked, and put logos on some shirts, and just hung out! Then we got Panda and came home and talked to family! After pday was over we did a lot of finding. Had a lesson with a lady named Julie, long story short she is one of the fools mentioned in 2 Nephi 29. Then we had a lesson with a new lady named Jackie, and it started off as if she wasn't interested but we got to talking and set up a return appointment and she seems super cool! Then we had a lesson with Bobby and just read part of Alma 36 with him. It was a pretty good day nothing too crazy though!

Thursday: Today was decent. We had a big ice storm last night so it was advised everyone stay home, really affected us!! We taught a few lessons, lots of rejection as always, had our last district call before transfers. We also watched an MTC devotional which was good! Brother Merrill brought us panda for dinner!! That's really it though, not a super exciting day haha!

Friday: Today was super sweet!! We found 6 new people calling on the phone and doing Facebook work. Nelson, Ivan, Elizabeth, Beverly, Kailyn, and Brittany. We also had 3 other lessons with people we are currently teaching Bobby, Jackie, and then a church tour with the sisters and some guy they are teaching named Jonathan and that went awesome!! It was a super busy day and when we weren't teaching we were finding! We had lunch at Chick Fil A with the new district which was fun! We finished off the night with a zone call! God is good, today was day full of work and very limited rejection compared to the past few weeks and hopefully that continues!! Just wanted to add that we shared the message of the restoration with all the new people we taught today right off the bat (which is what we do, but I've never really talked about it) the message of the restoration is so powerful and unique. It is what I have been called to share with the world so why wait for a future lesson? The message has power to change lives and knowing that we can be baptized by the proper authority of God is a blessing not only for me but all those I get the opportunity to share it with, but it is up to them to read and pray about it and accept it.

Saturday: Today we did weekly planning and because of the weather this upcoming week we also got our shopping done. We found another 2 new people today and are exciting to continue teaching them! It was a little bit slower of a day but it was still good. We also got the opportunity to teach Melissa about temples and family history and visit another member named Buford, who has such a strong testimony but has just been done wrong by some members of the church. I got the chance to give him a priesthood blessing and the spirit was very strong. All in all, good day.

Sunday: Welp, today church got canceled because of "weather" but it literally wasn't even bad at all lol. We had ward council over zoom and then we just found and taught lessons all day! We found two people on Facebook and taught them the restoration! It went pretty good, one of them seemed to have messed up pretty bad with some people and was super anxious the whole time that I was out to get him or was going to give other people his location and that was super weird haha. Then we taught a couple more restoration lessons after 6 one to a guy named Alex and he had met with missionaries before and had some good questions, he is very skeptical, but seems genuine! Nice guy forsure! Then we taught a guy named Telly for the sisters because we hit our finding goal of 18 for the week, we actually got 19, so we decided to help the sisters hit their goal and found him for them, he was pretty cool too! He was a Baptist but had never heard of using both the Book of Mormon AND the Bible before so that was pretty sweet! Then we taught Garret and focused a lot on the great apostasy, he bore a super awesome testimony about the prophet Joseph Smith, it was sweet! We finished off the night with a mission devotional and that was good too. Happy valentines day!!

Monday: Today we had district council over technology :(( super lame and it was just due to weather. Had a great lesson with a guy named Nelson we taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ and read 2 Nephi 31 and invited him to be baptized on March 20th!! He accepted! Hopefully it all works out!! Had another great lesson with a guy named Conner. We taught the restoration and he really enjoyed it, he even has some military friends who tried to give him a Book of Mormon earlier this year and he thinks highly of them so that helped!! Always be a friend and example to those around you!! We got him referred to the Elders where he is and hopefully that goes well too! A short leadership call to finish off the day but that's about it!!

Tuesday: Really nothing big happened today pretty lame. We tried to walk to Wendy's for lunch and surprise they were closed inside, so we tried 3 more restaurants, ALL CLOSED!! So, last ditch effort we walked to Walmart to get cafeteria food and guess what CLOSED. We shamefully walked home with doughnut holes and Pringles haha. We had 2 restoration lessons that went pretty well! Jerry and Keaton! We will see if they go anywhere! If they do you'll hear about em soon!!
