One year in the books

Wednesday February 17th:  Today was mega lame. We couldn't leave the house so we slept and talked to family. The end of pday rolled around we found 5 new people!! It was super cool!! We shared one gospel of Jesus Christ lesson with Dulce and Hakeem who were together, then 3 restoration lessons with Elizabeth, Dwayne, and Felice! It was a great teaching day!!

Thursday: We watched the missionary devotional in the am. Had a great lesson with a guy named Juan on the restoration. We taught Hakeem from last night the Plan of Salvation and that went great!! Then we talked to this guy named Umar and that was weird lol he isn't Christian so he has a lot of interesting beliefs but we set up a time to call back! We shared the restoration with guy named Vincent who didn't really care, so that was lame. Had a pretty good lesson with a lady named J.J., she appreciated it and agreed with everything and even wants a Book of Mormon, but said she isn't leaving her church. *face palm* we explained that if the message is true that means we are the only true church and she just brushed it off, way frustrating, but we will meet with her again. Hopefully the next time it goes somewhere! We had an incredible lesson with Desiree. We read 2 Nephi 31 and she new it was true and the spirit was so strong and we put her on date for the 20th of March she said yes without a second thought, it was amazing! That wraps up the day.

Friday: YEAR MARK! We walked to the church today to do weekly planning and burned my shirt!!! It was super fun. Later on we found a guy named Jery, and just talked about his previous experiences with missionaries. Then we had a lesson with a guy named Daniel and taught the restoration and he just could not wrap his head around it and it was frustrating.... but we set up a return appointment. Had a good lesson with Felice, she is younger, not sure how old, but we read the introduction and it was really good!! Hopefully she can make it to church Sunday!! Had a super interesting lesson with a guy named Michael who is a super super deep thinking and it was kind of weird but we set a return appointment for Monday!!

Saturday: Not much happened in the morning, we set up some chairs for ward conference in the afternoon then Garret called us and said we needed to come "save his life" so we went and wow was that an experience. We ended up pouring a bunch of his alcohol out, but dude was in a dark, dark place when we got there and we said a prayer with him and we headed out pretty quick. We had a ton of lessons fall through but then had our correlation meeting, followed by a lesson with Dani on the restoration and then a super weird lesson at 10:20 with a guy who has been leaving us super weird voicemails every night. He basically is bashing us. This time we happened to answer his call and of course he was a whole lot less bashy when we were there to confront him and it wasn't just voicemail. He actually really liked what we told him and he turned into a new person too hahah it was awesome!!

Sunday: Had a great time at church today. They split the Sango Ward and now we have the Kirkwood Ward as well!! We will be serving over both until further notice!! Garret came to church and did not like the split and even opposed it when they asked if there was any opposed but they ignored him (lol) and kept going and he walked out, but came back near the end, so it's whatever, he's an interesting guy. Had gospel study, then a zone meeting, then we found a lady named Lauren and a guy named Donald and we finished with a missionwide devotional that we maxed out the zoom server so it was kind of a wreck lol.

Monday: We picked up my newly hemmed pants from sister Bonnell this morning. It was so nice of her to fix them for me. Later we had another interesting lesson with military guy named Daniel and taught the restoration and he seemed to really like it. He said he would definitely consider baptism if he came to know it was true! Then we had that lesson with Michael again, and once again, super deep and interesting, but he wants a Book of Mormon so we will be taking him that tomorrow!! Really nothing else happened besides a really good call with a guy named Keylin who we honestly basically just let rant to us but it was really good and he seems like a stud and we set up a time to call back tomorrow to actually share a message!! Oh and we had a leadership call too.

Tuesday: Had district council today! Due to Mission Leadership Council yesterday! It was really good and then we got Chick Fil A! Went to Michael's work after to drop off the Book of Mormon and had a great lesson on the plan of salvation with him. We are hoping it stuck!! We had a great lesson with Keylin from yesterday and a member from the YSA and we taught the restoration and it seemed to click pretty decent for Keylin other than the fact he still wants to be baptized at another church to keep the tradition in his family *face palm again*. Had a gospel study class then read the Book of Mormon with Bobby and good news he is finally starting to feel better! So hopefully we can get him to church soon!! Then finally we had a lesson with IZ, we taught the restoration, but he disagreed with the need for authority so we gave him some scriptures and he seems like he is willing to study and pray which is all we can ask for, so all in all it was a good day!
