Wednesday January 6th: Today was honestly way fun. We went and played basketball in the morning with the zls for the first time in forever! It was actually competitive which was the best part! Then the sisters came and we messed around passing the ball to them and letting them try and play for the next 30 mins or so and then we all went to Chick Fil A and then played 9 holes of disc golf which was surprisingly pretty fun! After pday was over we had the most interesting lesson with a guy named Chris. We assigned him to read Alma 30 and he did, like insanely did, he had printed notes and everything and it was so dumb because he completely missed the message because he was caught up in the little details like what a testimony is, freedom of speech in that time, and rights and stuff like that, which would've been fine, except for the fact that he wanted to talk about each of those things for 20 mins and so the lesson went no where... kind of unfortunate but we are going to have one more lesson with him soon and see if anything changes. The rest of the night was just spent calling people!
Thursday: Today is going to be a really short entry, it wasn't a bad day but there definitely wasn't anything crazy. We just did Facebook finding literally all day lol. We taught one lady the restoration and she said she got chills after we texted her the story of Joseph Smith. It just blows my mind at how strong the spirit can be even through a message. Later we went shopping at Walmart for lunch. We called a guy and had a decent conversation about the atonement! Had a Facebook meeting in the middle of the day and that pretty much wraps it up!!
Friday: Today wasn't too bad of a day nothing super special besides one thing. We had some finding in the morning, followed by our weekly planning session, then we had the opportunity to go with the sisters to a lesson with a person they have on date for not tomorrow but next Saturday!! We were able to give her a blessing and it was super spiritual! We also taught the word of wisdom and it went so well! It was literally amazing. She stood up in the middle and went and dumped her coffee out!! It was super funny, because after she did that the sisters were like how do feel?? And she said SAD!! hahaha At least she is willing to do what is right even when it is hard! We came home and just did more finding! It was a pretty good day!
Saturday: Today was decent. We had a great lesson with Melissa, followed by another good lesson with our recent convert Chris. Then we made some contacts and headed out on a journey! We drove for 3 hours, knocking on houses of people the bishopric was looking for that he hadn't seen in ages. We only came in contact with one of them and it wasnt even him it was his son or grandson, but luckily we got his number so we don't have to go back. After we got home we just made some church invites and finished off with some finding!
Sunday: Today was pretty sweet too! We started off with church and the sisters gave some good talks and we sat by one of their investigators who was a super cool guy. Afterwards we went to ward council for about an hour and they are all such awesome people. I know I said it before but I do love this ward, they just feel like family at this point! We came home and had lunch and then went to another church service with our friend David to introduce him to who he is now being taught by which is the CV2 hermanas. However on the way we did some cold calling and found two new people within like 15 mins!! It was hype!! We got some awesome pictures with a pig and elephant too on the way back lol. We had a good gospel study class and then we had a night full of finding and found another new person then as well. It was a good day!
Monday: Today was pretty sweet! We had district council and that went well. After we all went to Wendy's and had a great time talking and hanging out! Later we had another great lesson with Melissa. Her baptism is this Saturday!! She is so ready and we are so pumped!! We did some finding and found a new person named Crystal who seems really cool! Then we had a super interesting lesson with Charrels talking about the plan of salvation. He definitely is an interesting guy haha! We once again finished off the night with a bunch of finding and taught a couple lessons in the process, it was good, all in all good day.
Tuesday: We did a lot of finding today and we had a couple great lessons with Melissa and Ciera! With Melissa we went over the baptismal questions! And with Ciera we taught the gospel of Jesus Christ, both went great! We also taught our gospel study class later in the day and that went great as well! It was super spiritual. Looking forward to pday tomorrow!
