Wednesday November 18th: Today was good, but started kind of bummy this morning. I didn't get out of bed until about noon lol, but I got to talk to family while I was laying there. We went back to that boutique shop from last week, and it was fun. We stopped for ice cream at Cold Stone and then said goodbye to my district. Gosh that was sad. Being District Leader for the last 3 months over basically the same missionaires has really allowed me the chance to connect with each of them. I really love all of them, so saying goodbye was rough. Luckily, it wasn't the final goodbye. We went to a member's house for dinner with the Sisters so we said our final goodbyes to them. We dropped them off and then we went to the church and did some finding. Afterwards, we stopped by the other sisters and talked with them for a little bit and then said our final goodbyes. They are so corny and started singing 'God Be with You till We Meet' again, lol. They are funny, haha. We left there and that wrapped up the day. I hope next transfer can be as good as this one.
Thursday: Today was alright. We watched an MTC devotional in the morning with Elder and Sister Bednar that was really good. It was all about feeling, following, and being worthy of the spirit. We met up with a lady that we met on Facebook named Tricia. We decided to meet at the library and we had a really good brief lesson with her. Then came home made some invitations, Elder Packer and I threw the baseball for the last time and then we headed off to Nashville. It was really sad seeing Elder Packer go. He was a great companion. I picked up Elder Eccles and we headed home! We went to a lesson with Garret and it was pretty good. It was a typical lesson with Garret with his usual conspiracy theories, but pretty good for the most part. Came home and made some contacts to finish off the night, boy am I wiped!
Friday: Woke up and had a service project this morning helping a lady move. It was definitely the highlight of the day. We helped along with the Sisters and at the end we got to share some of the restoration which was really cool to teach with all four of us. We also got to all watch the message from President Nelson together. It was super sweet, if you didn't get a chance to see it go check it out! We did some comp study in the afternoon and also went to Grace's for a lesson it went pretty good for the most part. She just agrees with everything though so it is hard to gauge her genuine desire, on top of that her kids are always WILD. We went to Walmart after to do our shopping for the week since Elder Eccles wasn't here Wednesday and then came home and did finding, I had some comp calls, and then we had a zone call to end the night.
Saturday: Today was nothing really too special, we contacted a few people in the morning and then created our Facebook posts. Then we had lunch, did some cold calls, then had weekly planning. We had dinner at the Richard's house who are super cool members. He is the first counselor in the bishopric and he made me eat SO much food, we were joking with eachother and he just kept putting stuff on my plate and I almost died. We went to a fireside with the Elders quorum after and he was even making me eat more there! It was really good though, a few of the brethren bore testimony about gratitude and reaching out to prospective elders, and we all sang hymns, made me feel like I was out in the woods in Heber with my elders quorum, it was pretty cool. Came home and did some more cold calling and Facebook to wrap up the night and then it was over!
Sunday: Today wasn't the shabbiest. We had a really good sacrament meeting and the talks were about how God answers prayers in 3 ways, he either tells you exactly what to do, or he tells you he'll take care of it, or he tells you go and do what you think and I'll support you. It was super interesting to think about how at least 1 of those 3 answers we could probably look back in life and realize that's the answer I got, it was really cool. After church we had comp study, did some finding, had our gospel study class, then after dinner we did more finding. We finished off the night with a mission devotional all about the atonement of Jesus Christ, it was super spiritual and there was a really good analogy talked about and they compared the atonement to skydiving. Everyone is going to jump out of the plane because we are a result of the "fall" of Adam, however it is our choice whether or not we want to pull the shoot or not, we can either use the parachute to make our journey more beautiful, joyful, or not and have a fun time free falling until we meet the earth... I really liked it. We talked to family during all our breaks and that's always nice too.
Monday: Today was pretty sweet, we had district council which went well. Then we had interviews with President that went well too and he was able to answer a few questions. I really love that guy. Then we came home did some finding had a good comp study, and dinner. Then at night we just did a ton of finding again, we had two guys IN A ROW that tried to bash us for believing in a different jesus 🤦♂️ literally has got to he the absolute dumbest thing, next to trying to discredit the Book of Mormon with revelation 22:18-19, that I have to deal with on my mission, because both of those reasons are literally so false that it blows my mind people actually think they are intelligent using them against us. We did have a good lesson with a guy named Zachary though on the restoration nothing really else to report there though. We had a leadership call and then the day was done.
Tuesday: This morning we had a super good lesson with Don and Bro. Pratt, a member of our ward. We literally introduced them and then said a prayer and then said nothing else the entire lesson. Bro. Pratt KILLED it! We just sat back and watched. It went so well. Don changed from being against the Book of Mormon with no faith into wanting and committing to read it! He also said he would start coming back to church, it was a miracle! We had a good afternoon, we had a really good lesson with someone we cold called into and one of our other lessons fell through so we had a lesson with Katie. It was really nice for Katie and Elder Eccles to become more familiar with eachother! We had a goodnight dividing the list of part member families between us and the Sisters, a gospel study class, and finding until bed. Today wasn't too bad!
