 Week 37

Wednesday October 28th: Today was so sweet! We went and hiked in the morning with our district and then afterwards we got pizza from little ceasers and went and ate in the Sisters garage and talked for awhile which was a great. After we came home and called family and just chilled the rest of pday. Then after pday we had a super good lesson with this girl who really, to be honest, hated the idea of Christianity. We taught her the restoration and were blunt and told her every other christian church besides the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is false and SHE asked US for a Book of Mormon! It was sweet, then I cold called into another girl and shared the first Vision with her because it related to something she was going through, and she loved it and wants us to call back as well! Then we talked to two other really interested people and one wants to meet at our church later this week and talk more! It was a super good day!

Thursday: Today was sweet! We went to Nashville to get a hitch put on our car. We stopped at Panda Express on the way. It is not in our area so it has been awhile since I've eaten there. We were also able to get some pictures at the WhatLiftsYou Wings Mural! We came home and had a good lesson with this guy named Jon. Then we had another good lesson with Garret again which is always fun. We are allowed to teach solid people in their houses now, this allowed us to see his dogs and his little dog reminded me of my dog Mylo haha. We came home and did a bit more finding and that wrapped up the day! 

Friday: Today was crazy stressful! We had a lesson with Don and we answered all of his concerns he had about what we had taught him so far. At the end of the lesson we talked about goals and one thing led to another and we put him on date for the 14th of November! It was hype! Then after lunch we had comp study and remembered we had to film a Facebook video by tonight! We called a member and went over and recorded the video. We then went to another one of Katie's performances and dinner. After that we went to trunk or treat, then we had to film our part for the video and edit it all together and needless to say it was crazy busy and we had to end up calling the Sisters shamefully and telling them we will have it in by tomorrow but they said it was no big deal so we will get it done tomorrow am!!

Saturday: Dang our morning was packed today! We went to the church to finish that video and I forgot to mention Brother Merrill saw us at the church last night and asked us to fill the font for his nieces baptism today so we did that as well. We got to help out during the baptism and be apart of it and it was really sweet. We then finished the video and headed home. We had lunch made a few contacts and then headed to Lori's house and she basically just questioned everything she read in the plan of salvation pamplet, and it wasn't so much as she wanted to learn as it was trying to discount everything. However, it went really well and we answered all her questions and she definitely had to brush the spirit off multiple times but it was there, sadly when we asked to meet again she said she just wanted to marinate on the things we had spoken about for awhile. We came home and did some weekly planning that we finally were able to do. We made some contacts then had dinner. After dinner we did comp study, we called one of the people the Sisters gave to us and had a good conversation with him, then finished weekly planning after that. I called 2 of the companships in the district before bed and then the day was done! 

Sunday: Today wasn't too bad! We started off with correlation meeting before church, then for church we had Don and his grandson Jaylen come to church and Jaylen was a little nervous at first but he loved it!! Don was a little iffy about not having a preacher and Bible study in the service, but I think he'll get over that hopefully. We had a good comp study afterwards followed by a gospel study class as we always do on Sunday's then a great YSA devotional by Elder Bednar. We then called and did Facebook work for the rest of the night. It went alright, crazy amount of rejection though... we'll get em next time! 

Monday: Today was alright! Made some contacts in the morning then headed to the church. We had a comp study and then spent way too long trying to find out how to print some papers and then fix the wifi lol but we did it. We had an okay lesson with Derrick. He literally believes pretty much everything we taught about the plan of salvation but he just wanted to twist a tiny part of it and tell us we were misinterpreting scripture so then he would tell his side and it would be the same thing just worded different so that was kind of dumb. We did some finding and then I finished off the night with a leadership call and AFTER at 9:10 at night the lady Tamekia messaged me asked us to call her so we did. She straight up went on a preaching rant for 20 mins and even sang us a song!! It was wild! She wants to talk again tomorrow so hopefully it goes well! 

Tuesday: Today was good. However our lesson with Don fell through that morning. We had lunch at bdubs and man it was so good to have wings again and to see some sport updates!! Had a really good interaction with an inactive member that we cold called a few weeks back. We finally had the chance to meet! Then we came home and tossed the baseball around. Later we did some finding and had comp study. Elder Packer and I got a little heated so we spent some time talking that out haha. We then ended with gospel study class and did a ton more inviting/finding!
