My First In Person Zone Conference

Wednesday June 24th: Today was a decent pday. We are almost out of miles on our car and have to use the reaminder of them tomorrow to help someone move so we spent most of the day in our apartment which wasn't that exciting and so routine. Talked to family most of the morning and then went to Walmart came home and talked to family and emailed some more, not really a super interesting pday haha. After 6 we had a couple lessons planned but neither of them responded when we called. We had our ward coordination meeting and then ended up talking to David for a little bit too and set up a dinner appointment for tomorrow! Looking forward to getting out tomorrow.

Thur: Today was a pretty good day! We headed to a lady's house named Shauna first thing in the morning to help her move. We did that for a couple hours and we just moved her from one apartment to another and she was very nice and we had a couple sister missionaries there as well and so hopefully they can keep in contact with her! We came home and did had a comp study and talked about how our missions will go fast, even though it doesn't seem like it right now, and when the day comes to head home, we will want to feel like we have given it our all! It can be tough espciallly when skype appointments fall through and we are unable to talk in face to face. This is definatley a unique mission. We then went back out with David to drop off a Book of Mormon to a lady and she wasn't home so we talked to her through her door bell haha. Then we stopped by a members house who lived near by to check up on her and talked for a bit. We came home and had 2 lessons one with a member and one with a new lady named Mary and they both went very well, which was awesome. Then we headed to David's and he cooked us an awesome dinner with ham, broccoli with cheese, mashed potatoes, and little rolls! We had a lesson with Barbara afterwards too which ended the night perfectly! Not a bad day! Night.

Fri: This morning we went to the Salem Sisters apartment and gave one of them a blessing. We visited for a bit before and after so that was pretty fun. Afterwards we came home and planned for the week to come which went pretty well, we are focusing really hard on finding new people and helping the people we do have progress. We want to determine who is still progressing and who  might need a break. We did some contacting after doing cold calls on facebook. Later Sister Dunaway brought us sushi. It's the first time I've had sushi in a good while and it was fantastic! We did some more contacting and had a lesson with a guy named Ray and David over the phone, that went pretty well! It was too bad of a day, but nothing to exciting either.

Sat: This morning we went to a lady's house named Tyanna and helped her clean up her yard. We were able to talk to her a lot and pray with her afterwards and hopefully we will be able to start teaching her soon! It is super cool how service can open someone up to listening to our message, just like Ammon taught us in the Book of Mormon. Afterwards we went to eat at this super good mixed grill place and that was awesome. We came home and had to record some videos for some Sisters who were making a video. We contacted people for awhile, and then we had a lesson with one of the people from cold calls who told us we could call back and his name is William and the lesson went super well, we went over the plan of salvation and although he had to go before we could finish he seemed really interested and we set up another call in the future! We made a few more contacts after and then Elder Iverson had to make a few leadership calls which finished off the night!

Sun: Had a decent day today! We had a sacrament planned with a memeber that didn't end up happening which was unfortunate then we talked to family for a bit then had another lesson fall through. Then we had a lesson with Glenda and sadly we had to part ways because she had no desire in changing her ways and it was pretty sad to be completely honest I really liked talking to Glenda :( did some more contacting then called family again, had a good lesson with Sister Ruggles, some more contacting then had an awesome mission wide devotional and Elder Zwick (general authority) and his wife spoke to us and they did an awesome job! That was probably the best part of the day!

Mon: Today was pretty fun we cleaned the car all morning which was great! It kind of felt like I was back home again. We were just talking in our shirt and shorts and slippers playing music and cleaning the car with a pitcher and some dish soap lol anything to get out of the apartment! For the afternoon we made some contacts and then David took us to drop off a Come Follow Me manual to Sister Sister Ruggles and her parents. Then we got home did a ton more contacting and it rained which ruined the whole car wash which was unfortunate haha, did some more contacting then went to bed.

Tue: Zone conference! It was all day and my first IN PERSON zone conference! I definitely liked it a lot better than over zoom! It was super fun to see Elder Clarke and Elder Tietjen again along with some other missionaries I haven't seen for while! We came home after and did some contacting, nothing really too special, before bed Elder Iverson and I played a game of Sorry! From my Aunt Trya which was fun! Thank you Tyra! We also played would you rather. I'm so tired though so hopefully after reading my weekly you will email me! ;) have a good week!!
