Burgers, dogs, s'mores, fireworks, murica'. Can't ask for more!

Wed: Hung out a little bit this morning and then headed to Walmart, we got what we needed came home and put it all away and then went to London again! When we got there we all hung out for a bit and the Spanish Elders still had to go shop so while they did that Elder Iverson and I talked to family until they got back. We hung out for a bit when they got back then went to Blaze Pizza and ate with them and the Stones River 1 Sisters. Then we all went and played sand volleyball and spike ball until we had to go. Loved getting to do that again. We came home and had a couple lessons fall through sadly. We had ward coordination and the stake presidency is really working with our ward right now to help them/us move the work forward in this area. Then we read 2 Nephi 16 and 17 with Barbara over zoom and it's the Isaiah chapters so not much to talk about there, although I'd invite you to go and read them because with Isaiah chapters there will always be something that stands out to you personally, even if it is just one verses so do it! That pretty much wraps up Wednesday, night!

Thur: Today was a good day too! We had a good comp study and then went to the church. We were able to make a few phone calls there and do some Facebook contacting. Afterwards we went home and changed and went to another greenway and picked up some trash with our district which is always a good time because we get out of the apartment and talk a lot with other missionaries and get to know each other better! One of the things that was really fun was we hummed commercial jingles and everyone else tried to guess what it was. We came home and David picked us up, we went and bought fireworks for this Saturday and that was awesome then we stopped and picked up some Chinese food with him and that was great too! We had a good lesson with a guy named Ray and we went over family history for awhile which he was really interested in. We then talked about the Book of Mormon and what it means to him and the answers he got from praying about it. We read 2 Nephi 3 which is basically prophesying about the coming forth of the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. It went really well and we invited him to pray about baptism and if it's for him, and then to read 2 Nephi 31, so we will see how that went on Sunday at David's for a sacrament! Then we read another Chapter with Barbara (2 Nephi 18) and that pretty much sums up the day.

Fri: Today was pretty good. We made some contacts in the morning then had a good comp study. We had another lesson fall through with Mary :( and then we had lunch then started weekly planning. We had inventory and talked about what we can do to be more effective and so this week I'm working on being positive (as always), working hard, and focusing. I think it'll go well. After we made some more calls and then we had to take a pot to the church because the west Fork sisters were using the computers and planning on cooking dinner there and realized the chruch has nothing besides plastic plates and utensils haha. Then Sister Dunaway got us firehouse subs! We made more contacts and here's one that stood out...usually we say something along the lines of "I was just calling to see if I could share a scripture about Jesus Christ to hopefully brighten your day a little bit!" And this guy I'm talking to goes "ha! Brighten my day huh? Okay let's hear it" I read 3 Nephi 11:10-11 and after I paused kinda waiting for him to say something and he goes "keep going its not bright yet!" and so I said well, I hope you have a great rest of your night. So that made it hard to be positive haha! Read 2 Nephi 19 with Barbara and that went really well and we invited her and David to make a list of some of their most important blessings that we can go over. Pretty good day overall. Night

Sat: Today started out alright but ended pretty awesome! We contacted people all morning then we got to call family during lunch for the 4th, happy 4th of July btw! Then we made contacts most the of the afternoon as well and let me tell you, doing the exact same thing for 6 hours straight isn't easy haha! But then we left and went to the Kremer's house (members) and we were supposed to just pick up dinner and kinda quickly get to know them but they brought us around back and we ate burgers and talked for awhile! We finished up by sharing a spiritual thought about Unity, and shared 4 Nephi 1:15-18 and how essentially those scriptures could solve a lot of our nation's problems today! Then we headed back to David's and ate burgers and hot dogs again;)! I cooked using coals for the first time and David and Elder Iverson had to show me how haha but it turned out really great! We had smores too and then lit off some sweet fireworks David got for us and it was a great time! Definitely dont feel like I missed out on the 4th this year so I'm very happy about that!! :))

Sun: Fast Sunday again! But it was a good one! Started off the day with a good comp study then Dr. Bailey brought us some more water and we spend the rest of the time on Facebook (besides lunch) until David's house later in the day. We had a good sacrament service and Ray was able to make it! It was so weird seeing him in person because when you only know someone over the phone your mind makes up all these ideas of what they look like and they never look the way you think they will hahaha! But it went really well and we talked about the Doctrine of Chirst and reviewed 2 Nephi 31. We invited him to read the scriptures at least 15 seconds a day and he said he would! Then we had an awesome dinner thanks to David. Lasagna, rolls, and melted cheese we put on the rolls, with no bake cookies! It was great, we came home and did some more Facebook, then had a lesson with my family! It was my mom's entire side of the family over zoom and we had a really good time! We taught the restoration and it was awesome to hear so many opinions, insights, and strong testimonies! We had our mission wide devotional following that and the main things that stuck out to me was to always strive to have a positive attitude because if we have a negative attitude the spirit won't be with us and we need him with us especially as missionaries! So that was sweet :)

Mon: Today was good! We had a good district council to start off the day and talked about things we can do to be better missionaries/sacrifices we can make. The one I chose was to make sure I am getting at least a full hour of personal study in the morning because usually I kinda slack and get around 45 mins and so my sacrifice was to have more drive and get in a full hour! We went to the park and ate again afterwards and talked about crazy mission stories and my craziest one was this one time we sat inside the apartment all day and used Facebook and called people!! Haha yeah I dont have any yet, but hopefully I will someday. It was fun to hear everyone else's though! Then later on in the day we went to drop a Book of Mormon off and tried to doorstep visit some members who lived near by but got no luck, the only answer we got was this one lady who was supposed to be a member of our ward and we talked for like 5 mins and tried to get to know her better and then she said she goes to another church and we said, "Oh when did you stop coming to our church?" She then said, " I never went to yours."  After that we realized the lady had moved and we were talking to some random lady hahaha. This is what happens when you never get to go to church and meet all your ward members I guess.;) We came home and had a great lesson with William going over the restoration and we think he understood it but we will definitely have to review it for sure. Then we had a superrr long lessons with this dude named Evan who had a ton of questions and was pretty stubborn and didnt really except the answers we gave him and it lasted for about an hour and a half and we finally just said we probably got to cut it for today but we invited him to pray about it and we are going to get him a book of mormon! We have exchanges tomorrow so I'll be with Elder Wilson!

Tues: Today was awesome! The zone leader showed up in the morning and dropped off Elder Wilson and we got right to it! We made contacts on Facebook all morning and then went and got Bojangles' because Elder Wilson had never been there and I had to introduce the bo berry biscuit and they also had a new mtn dew flavor!! Southern Shock, I'd tell yall to try it but haha too bad your not Southern!! Then we contacted most of the afternoon and had a quick call with the zone about Facebook. We had a lesson with Sister Ruggles and read 1 Nephi 18 and talked about attitude again because I love it and I felt like it could really help her and it did! We invited her to read Alma 24 and to hang up a list of blessings somewhere she would see it often and to add to it whenever she felt so prompted. Miranda called and wants to start doing lessons again so that was cool! Chris called as well and we talked to him and he is doing good too. We went to the Church and did some family history and Elder Wilson and I are fourth cousins once removed, pretty crazy close! Then I wrote up a few emails and put them in drafts for tomorrow and worked out when we got home. If you made it this far thank you and if you notice this week was a lot more detailed and I took too much of your time blame my mom. She kept asking me questions about my last weekly and told me she wouldn't have to ask about my experience in more detail if I wrote it down in my letter so here you go mom haha
