Quick trip to London/Our neighbors think we're Jehovah Witnesses

Wednesday June 10th: Today was one of the best days of my mission so far! We had a goodnights rest and then woke up and went to Walmart to get all the things we needed. We then headed to the Spanish Elders new apartment they call mini London because the streets are cobblestone and the apartments look just like you are in London haha it's so nice! We met up with a few missionaries from the zone and played some sand volleyball for a couple hours. We then headed to Sonic to get some slushies and food and came back and ate by the volleyball courts. After that most of the zone went home and a few of us went to their apartment, which is also so nice haha its unfair, but we just hung out there until pday was over. A great opportunity to get to know each other better. We came home and did a little bit of Facebook, had a lesson fall through :( and then we had ward coordination meeting over zoom. This is something we have been struggling to get the ward to participate in so it was awesome that we finally made it happen! I am so sunburned hahaha but it was a day to remember for sure! Nght!!

Thurs: Woke up and had a good devotional, then Elder Iverson cleaned his bathroom and finally got all the way moved in and organized everything which took the majority of the morning. We then had a couple Facebook lessons over text. We sent out uplifting messages to a lot of people we haven't heard from in awhile and still didn't hear anything back from most of them. We went to the Cameron's and Sister Cameron helped us out with a post we are making! Check it out and give it a like anyways  https://www.facebook.com/DisciplesofJesusChristMurfreesboro/

Later we had dinner thanks to Sister Robinson and she got us Papa John's! All we asked for was a pizza but she also brought wings, a big cookie, and soda too!! So nice of her. Then we went to the church and started editing the post, but we will have to go back tomorrow and finish up because we ran out of time! Time for bed now though, sleep!

Fri: Today was super fun again because we weren't in the house all day haha. We started out the morning by heading to the Lenstch's (some members of ward next to ours) and helped them move. They were very talkative and fun and we got a lot done. They met each other on their mission in Colorado a few years back and Brother Lenstch was telling us some funny experiences he had on his mission. We then went to a mexican restaurant with them and got some real good food and Sister Lenstch does this thing where she had conversation starter questions and she asked a couple of them and it definitely kept everyone talking so I'm writing that down to remember it for later because it was a great idea lol. Then we went and finished the video we started editing yesterday and Sister Alvarado came to the church and brought us some amazing food she cooked and then we had a lesson with her son Jayce. She wants him to know why he is getting baptized and make the decision to do it all by himself and I think that's really cool. The lesson went really well! He is a crazy kid though and it was kinda hard to keep his attention and get him to sit still but it reminded me of myself at that age haha. Like I said though it went well and he wanted to play some basketball afterwards as his reward for (kind of) sitting still so we did that too! Good day but now I'm gonna sleep, dream.

Sat: We woke up and headed back to the church and before we left we talked to a Baptist missionary and he was a nice guy, but they definitely have interesting beliefs! We went to the church to let the Hermanas and the sisters in because they were all working on videos today so after we did that we didn't have time to plan yesterday like we normally do so we did that today. We removed a lot of people we hadn't had communication with in awhile and are going to focus more on the ones we have, which I think will be super beneficial. That took up the majority of the day and afterwards we sent out a few more of those uplifting messages to peopl. The hermanas called us and said they needed a ride home because the Sisters had to leave before they were ready. So we had to drive them all the way home which was like 25 mins both ways haha oh well...time out of the apartment.  They were super cool though and it was really fun talking to them and we played basketball in the church for a little while until their video finished downloading. Once we got home our neighbors that I hoped we would run into again were outside! They told us their friend that slammed the door on us was drunk and they told him not to do that and he did anyway. They were so nice again and both said they wanted to learn more and both accepted Book Of Mormons and pamphlets. They also thought we were Jehovah's Witnesses lol and apparently our entire complex does so they said they would clear that up for us which was super nice of them haha. Good day for sure, shlump!

Sun: Today was a really hard day to be honest. We went to the Cameron's in the morning which was really good! Then Glenda texted us and said the lesson we had at planned at 1 might work and 1 came around and she didnt answer... We called family for awhile which was good and then we had another lesson that Miranda said would work at 6 and the member said 6:30 so we asked Miranda if 6:30 would work and she didnt answer so we got the member on the call at 6:30 and Miranda didnt answer again... then we had a lesson with Shirley which by some miracle DIDN'T fall through and it was really cool, the member we invited and her previously knew each other and so they got along very well. However, the lesson itself didn't go as great as I would have liked which was unfortunate. We had a really good mission devotional at the end of the night though which was really good for me, it turned my day around and made me want to be better, definitely a tender mercy. They talked about unity, and how we only have this short time to be missionaries and shared D&C 38:27. Now its time for bed, goodnight.

Mon: Today was a lot better! Woke up went to District Council/interviews with President and both of those things went very well. We talked about Elder Uchtdorf's talk "grateful in any circumstances" it is a great one so I'd encourage ya'll to give it a listen! Then we went to Chick-fil-a and I am now on exchanges with the Spanish Elders haha it's been really fun, we went to the church and the Sisters were there and we had two lessons with them. One with these two guys who were basically just wanting to prove us wrong, except one of them seemed kinda genuine when the other one stepped out for a bit. Then we had an awesome lesson with this somewhat recent convert named Tim and he was so funny and just a chill dude. He and I got along super well and I even got a pic with him after! We then headed home and had a lesson in Spanish so I basically just sat there and tried to understand as much as high school spanish 1 and 2 would allow haha and then we went to the gas station and got some drinks before bed. I think I mentioned how nice the Spanish Elders apartment is last week (referred to as London) and I can confirm it is very nice here. Out!

Tues: Today was sweet! Got up and went on a run with Elder Doxey around London and then we kinda just chilled most the morning and talked about things like the second coming and stuff haha I then decided I would make us some lunch but no one really got to eat any because it took longer than I thought and we had to go find a spanish Bible and we COULD NOT find one for the life of us! We eventually went to the church and found a super old dirty one and figured it would have to work then at the last second I said let's check the family history center and bam new Spanish Bible. We dropped that off and then headed to drop something else off to the lady who lives in my area so after that we went to change at my apartment into service clothes. The front door was locked so I checked the back door and what do you know...it was open! We went to do service and it was awesome! We packaged 346 boxes of food for seniors! I talked to Elder Oilar and Stephanie (the lady who runs it) for a lot of it and it was awesome! Came home and had a lesson with the Smalleys that (after some contention in planning with Elder Iverson and I) went very well! Finished off the night with a zoom mission call with the Stake specifically for our wards missionary work and I'm excited for things to come! I also grinded just now sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and scrubbing the counters so be proud mom, its spotless :)) happy Pday eve! Pass out!
