I had two pdays this week?!

Wednesday June 17th: Today was good! We went to Walmart in the morning and then I talked to Hannah until later in the afternoon. Then we went to London and played volleyball and spike ball which was super fun! Shirley texted us and told us she wasn't interested anymore and to delete her number which is really sad :( she was very kind and polite about it though! Came home and called a girl named Cheali who a few years back had a baptismal date but then her parents made her watch a bunch of anti things and it didn't end up happening. She just celebrated her birthday today and she is now 18 so it's her choice and we are going to go to lunch on Friday to get to know her better! Then we had a good coordination call with the ward and now for the sad part...Pday is over :( until the next, gnight!

Thurs: Today was pretty good, we started off the morning by getting a call from the Sisters in the ward next to us that there was a lady who needed a priesthood blessing before her doctors appointment so we went over and did that and it went really cool. She said she felt comfort right away and apparently she is less active too, so it was really neat that she thought to ask for a blessing. It is such a gift that the same authority that Jesus Christ and his apostles had is once again on this Earth today, and so many miracles come from it. Afterwards we went over to David's and did some service and that went well. He took us out to eat after too which was really nice of him. We came home and did a bunch of cold calls and talked to a couple people, nothing super special though. Back to bed again, snooze. 

Fri: Today was a super duper good day. I set up some decorations for Elder Iverson's birthday. Today he turned 19!  He was really appreciative and it was fun surprising him! He was allowed to  talk to his family again this morning and so I was able to call mine. I didnt have anything else to do so that was fun! Then we had a quick lesson with Glenda that went well. Then we went to Chick Fil A and got some drinks and had a lesson with the 18 year old I mentioned before named Cheali . We visited outside and that went very well! We went home for a bit and then headed to the church and had a lesson with Sister Alvarado and Jayce! After that we went out to dinner with David and it was a really good dinner and we had a great time! After dinner David took us to his house to give Elder Iverson a cake and we sang him happy birthday to him. Today was really busy and fun and it went by so fast, genuinely felt like another pday, loved it. Bedtime 

Sat: Started off the morning with our district devotional as always and I gave the spiritual thought I talked about how discouragement, doubt, fear, and all other bad things come from the adversary, and that God knows we will go through hard things. Does anyone know what God's answer is for getting through hard things/times? "Go forward with faith." I shared 1 Nephi 17:17-19 and 49-51 and changed the "build a boat" to whatever you may be going through right now. Laman and Lemuel are like the adversary or the negative people in your life who rejoice in your sorrow or when you have failed. Don't let them win, the Lord is on your side! I wrapped it up with Proverbs 3:5-6. Afterwards did some weekly planning and then headed over to a trailhead with our district and cleaned up a bunch of trash along the way for a service project and I had a really good time. We came home and did more weekly planning then headed to the church, we worked on another post for the Facebook page, then had a call with a new lady named Arabine who speaks French and a member of our ward who translated for us. Later on we had a call with a member who just had her first baby and that was fun too! Sister Dunaway ordered our food to the church and we worked on the post till it got there. We ate and then Elder Iverson did his weekly district calls with the companships in our district then we headed home. Pretty decent day, shlump.

Sun: This morning we had a lesson right away at 10 with the Cameron's and it went really well! We talked about Lucas and Chris' baptism and how it made them feel and we asked Miranda how it made her feel, to shorten the story we put Miranda on date and it's more of a goal than anything, the Spirit has a lot of work to do with her so we will see what happens! It all depends on how much she wants and it how much her family wants it for her. Then we had a lesson with Glenda and a lady in our ward named Sister Hagewood and it went really well too! Talked to our families for a bit then had a lesson with Arabine and Sister Stranahan and we are dropping off a Book of Mormon at her house tomorrow! In the middle Sister Alvarado brought us some good dinner! It was a really long lesson with all the translating so after that it was time for our mission devotional, we did that then headed for bed! Happy Father's Day!! Shnooze 

Mon: Woke up and had district council this morning which went really good, it's always fun getting together with our district. We went to lunch after (got Wendy's and went to the park) and talked more which was really fun too. Then we went and dropped off that Book of Mormon to Arabine. Then we went to the church and I made a post for the Facebook page that I was pretty proud of to be honest!! We came home had some dinner and made a ton more contacts! It was a super busy day and Alyssa I am so sorry I forgot to call for your birthday, I know I called for everyone else's but I didn't write about how awesome they are in my weeklys so hopefully this makes up for it and I will sing you happy birthday on Wednesday!!! Night 

Tues: Today was another kind of hard day to be honest. We woke up and went for a run and it was way way humid and made it hard for me to breath. I felt sick and slept in and missed personal study and felt reallly bad about that. Then we made a few contacts and went to Kohl's to try and exchange a watch Elder Iverson had. We came home and had lunch, made a few more contacts then tried to go contact a referral and she wasn't home when we knocked so we came back home again. Had a zone Facebook meeting which everyone knows I love so much;)!! We went to Chick Fil A for dinner which was fine but I snacked in between lunch and dinner so I wasn't very hungry and I ate too much and felt sick again lol! We had a lesson with Tonya and she lost connection/hung up in the middle and sent us a text telling us God told her to go a different way so that was unfortunate as well. Did a lot more calling, did a Book of Mormon read with Barbara which went pretty good, and then at the end of the night called a lady who was super awesome and just seemed ready for the message and it was really cool! We finished off the night with a workout, man I need this pday tomorrow, pray that it goes slow for me! Gone

Woke up in the morning to finish packing. We then headed out for lunch at Riverside Country Club with my family, nana, grandpa, and grandma (papa is in Arizona playing in a golf tournament)It was nice to visit at lunch. Crying set in for a few of my siblings as we were getting ready to leave. We stopped at the Provo Temple for a few quick photos then headed toward the MTC. My checkin time was 12:30. It was a quick drop off as there was a line of cars. Maybe that made the goodbye a little easier for me. Now the work begins.  First MTC photo taken by my Aunt Sarah. We had to drive for 3 hours.......

  Wednesday January 6th: Today was honestly way fun. We went and played basketball in the morning with the zls for the first time in forever! It was actually competitive which was the best part! Then the sisters came and we messed around passing the ball to them and letting them try and play for the next 30 mins or so and then we all went to Chick Fil A and then played 9 holes of disc golf which was surprisingly pretty fun! After pday was over we had the most interesting lesson with a guy named Chris. We assigned him to read Alma 30 and he did, like insanely did, he had printed notes and everything and it was so dumb because he completely missed the message because he was caught up in the little details like what a testimony is, freedom of speech in that time, and rights and stuff like that, which would've been fine, except for the fact that he wanted to talk about each of those things for 20 mins and so the lesson went no where... kind of unfortunate but we are going to have one m...

Cave Boating

  Wednesday: Today was super cool! Elder Hamilton and I had a lazy morning, but then headed up to Bowling Green for the afternoon!! We did this super cool boat tour of the lost river cave, super awesome! We then went to Texas Roadhouse for the first time on my mission and that was bomb!! We came home and didn't do too much. Elder Baker and I had coordination meeting for the branch on zoom as always. Other than that did some Facebook work and taught a girl named Jazlyn over the phone a little about the Book of Mormon so hopefully we can teach her more in the future!  Thursday: Nothing super interesting today we did a lot of finding, taught a guy named Mayberry about the restoration, then sent him off to the sisters in Gallatin where he lives. Talked to a guy named James a bit about the plan of salvation, he accepted a baptismal invite, but it was super nonchalant, so we sent him off to the elders in Lafayette who cover his area.
