Greenie Busted

Wednesday May 27th: Had a good morning. We hung out at the apartment and then went to Walmart. After we went to an ice cream place and got some good shakes! Had a great lesson with Shirley, she is so sweet. Then we attempted to go to our next door neighbors house, who asked us to come over, and some guy we have never seen before opened the door and said,  "Hey I know yall have an appointment or whatever but we're good" and slammed the door on us. It was so sad haha! We ended the day with a good zone call and now I'm ready for bed! Shut eye! 

Thurs: We had another mission wide zone conference and then heard from Elder James Martino for a bit and that was good. I got a Book of Mormon in the mail and it is super cool! It specifies who is talking and this will definitely help me understand parts of it more, thanks Grandma!! Then we went to the church and had a good personal and comp study! Then we called a few members and had a lesson with a guy named Lee from another state and dang he's been through a lot!!  For dinner we went to the Mexican restaurant and I got a "monster burrito" they weren't messing around naming it that haha....the thing was actually a monster! IT WAS HUGE!! We then had a good rest of the night catching up on things and talking with each other and now once again, shlump! 

Fri: Had a good morning and made a lot of contacts with members! We were able to get a ton of planning accomplished for our last week of transfers. We had a good comp study and watched a returned missionary that we know give his homecoming talk! We had a great dinner from Sister Dunaway, Papa John's pizza! Then we headed to the zone leaders and I was able to talk to Elder Oilar about music for a bit, that was fun. We are sleeping here for the night and plan to do an exchange blitz tomorrow! It's going to be good!! Dream.

Sat: Got up early so we could head to the gym. We needed to fit it into our schedule.  I don't know what is up, but everyone else's gym besides ours is open and they are all so nice, not fair! Then we came home and got ready for the day. We made some good contacts again, had a good lunch and then made a few more contacts! The elders had some boxing gloves and we  started punching each other;) For our one hour outdoor outing we decided to go fishing. It was so sweet! I caught 3 fish! 2 on a rod and one on a wooden stick with string tied around it hahaha! We made a video for Facebook and then had dinner and made a couple more contacts. The zone leaders held me back and talked to me a little bit about some things and I really like them, they have a lot of respect for me as I do for them and so its really good talking to them and getting advice because I really look up to them and they teach me a lot. I drove home and talked to my companions and found out Salt Lake is going crazy right now with riots! Gotta love America... what is wrong with people *eye roll*. (Lots of political opinions, that don't matter so I'm not discussing it) love everyone! Night! 

Sun: Had a great day! Went to the Dunaway's for sacrament and talked to them after the lesson about movies, sports, and music. It was awesome! Brother Dunaway hooked me up with a Beetles Vinyl which is so cool. We came home and got transfer news!!! I'll be staying here in Smyrna and getting Elder Iverson as my new comp. Elder Clarke leaves tomorrow to Altamont and Elder Tietjen leaves for Mcminnville Wednesday. Then had an awesome lesson with Glenda and Sister Sutherland reading Mosiah 16. Talked to my fam and some friends that came to my house to say hello to me which was sooo sweet of them and it was awesome! We went to David's and had the sacrament with him and had a lesson over the phone at his house with Shirley. David enjoyed sitting in on the lesson. Then we came home and had a devotional and got a AMBER alert about a new curfew law and a text from a member warning us about some crazy riots that are going on close by... what is happening?! Covid and now this? What a time to be on a mission. Bed! 

Mon: We had a good morning and headed to district council. We had a super fun time there talking to everyone.  So cool to see people in person, even if we have to wear masks! After we went to a place called Fat Mo's and got some good burgers. We let some sisters into our church building to do some computer work, then we came home and had our lunch break and Elder Clarke packed up. We headed to transfers and said hi to everyone there. President Weaver had me collect everyone into the room to pray which was pretty cool that he picked me out of everyone. Then he told me and Elder Iverson he expects big things out of us!  He pulled me aside before heading out and told me that he is excited for what's in store for me. Love the trust he has in me! We said goodbye to Elder Clarke and came home. We made some contacts and then went to dinner with David at some mexican restaurant and that was super fun too. Good day. Bed 

Tue: Had a good morning! I woke up ran with my comp and got ready and had a good personal study. Made some good contacts had a good comp study and more contacts again. Had a zone Facebook call that went well and then played some ball outside for a bit. We made some more contacts and finished out the night with a game of Monopoly. Pretty good day, kinda long but good overall. Night
