One of the Apostles called me
Wednesday April 29th: Today was sweet! Woke up rested in bed a bit and sent a few emails and my weekly. Then talked to family until just after lunch. Got ready for the day, went to the store, got all the supplies we needed. Came home talked to family again! Ate some food, and then made a few contacts which was sweet! Tried for some luck Facebook contacting, didn't recieve anything haha. I bought a 10 foot charger today, I'm currently rolled over on the opposite side of the bed with my phone charging and this is the greatest purchase I've ever made, night!
Thur: Had a really good day woke up had a great breakfast toaster strudel and a sausage muffin... with juice! Then had a good district devotional that we are doing everyday now! Then had my transferly meeting with President over Facebook messenger, he really helped me realize how the rules are up to me to follow, I have my agency, but I'll be blessed for CHOOSING to follow them rather than HAVING to. It was really good and I love that I can share my honest thoughts with him. Then we had lunch and went and played ball for awhile, got an awesome letter from my grandma about some family history. Then went and dropped a Book of Mormon off to a lady who requested one and that went awesome! Had a good comp study, then two of our lessons fell through which was a bummer! Had dinner then had a really good lesson with Tonya about the Doctrine of Christ, then tried some facebook contacting again and I saw that my Aunt Renee left a comment on one of my posts so I responded then she responded and one thing led to another and we ended up joining them over zoom for a meeting with missionaries in their ward! It was sweet, now time for bed! Snooze
Fri: Today was so cool!! We had a zoom call with Elder Bednar this morning, I took some notes but not about what he said but about what the spirit told me. That was something he really stressed and he had a lot of other cool things he talked about and if you want to hear more about it email me haha! Then we had a ton of planning for our entire week, got some Bo Berry Biscuits for lunch, and then had a good comp study. Our lessons fell through which was unfortunate, but they got rescheduled which makes it a little better. Then we took David a birthday present (a t-shirt we bought him) and talked with him for a bit, he posted about it on facebook so when we got home the zone leaders saw it and called us and told us to remember the rules and not leave the apratment unless we have to. They were cool about it and told us they know it sucks, but don't tell anyone I said this.. it definitely was worth it, David has been like family out here and I don't regret it :O oops sorry!! Hahaha love yall, night!
Sat: Had some good contacts this morning followed by some Hardees provided by the one and only Brother Sayavong! Then we had a call with the zone leaders and they gave us some useful information to help keep busy and then let us in on a little scoop that we could potentially be getting another companion on Tuesday?? We'll see! Then we got a call from Sister Robinson and we shared a message of hope with her which was roughly 10 mins... the call ended up being 90 mins! She has some cool stories haha! Had a good nap, then taught Tonya about temples and family history that went fairly well. Then Sister Dunaway brought us Chick Fil A and Crumble Cookie, so awesome! She talked to us for awhile on our porch and it was so fun. Then we taught Barbara and had some good laughs! Good day overall, gotta go sleep buh bye!
Sun: Had a good morning, headed to the Gibbs house for a sacrament session and watched a Book of Mormon video and that was way fun. We are still allowed to go to members homes to pass the sacrament if invited but not allowed to offer to come. We then had a good lesson with the Cameron's, then had a picnic/Book of Mormon quiz with the Goetzman's! Went to Sister Waufords for another sacrament session, then to the church to try and help Brother Sayavong print something but with no luck :/. Talked to family for a bit, finally broke my fast! Then had a great lesson with the Church's, then made a few contacts and had a good mission wide devotional! Talked to family again until bed and man am I tired, shleep!!
Mon: Had another decent day, had a great district council in the morning. Elder Clarke nearly smoked us out after "attempting" to make pancakes hahaha. Made some good contacts and then I made some sausage and egg burritos and that was good. Had a good comp study, made a ton more contacts but not much luck. Made some videos about why we decided to serve a mission. Then had dinner brought to us by the Belden's which was very good. Watched a Book of Mormon video, had a lesson get rescheduled then did family history at the church and came home a did a little Facebook finding, busy day. Gonna sleep.
Tue: Had a super good day today. We had a great devotional with our district. We then had an awesome call with my friend and mission prep teacher, David Smith, his daughter serving in England, Sister Smith her companion and Brother Mathias Dunn! That was super cool and spiritual. It really helped my mood for the day! Had a video call with the district leader and his comp (a virtual exchange) for about an hour and that went really good. Had a lesson with Chris that Sister Robinson fellowshipped, WE PUT HIM ON DATE! I invited him and it went so awesome! May 23! Then had a lesson with the Cameron boys which went well too. Then the Torgersen's and then Tonya which both went really well. After that we went to get our new comp Elder Tietjen. Time for Bed.
