Same ole Same ole

Wednesday, March 25th, Had an awesome p day! My comp tried out a new alarm and it didnt work and so we slept in... coincidence? As Elder Bednar would say "Tender mercy". We then went to Walmart got our food for the week and went on an awesome "green walk" (basically a hike but on flat ground cuz they have no mountains here) by a river. After that we went to the church and played ball for a little, that was sweet, then had Chick Fil A to wrap it up. We got home and somehow our detergent spilled all over the carpet, like a gallon! We werent quite sure what to do about that. Then I met the bishop finally cuz he had to sign the baptism papers! After that, both our lessons fell through but we had a real good day so it didnt bother us too much. Finally we headed up to go on exchanges so now I'm at my apartment with Elder Holbrook. He's way cool. Bed.

Thurs: Today was good! I got up first and got ready and had to wake Elder Holbrook up but he got ready quick so no big deal. We got a new dryer for our apartment cuz the timer on the other one broke and we would have to stop it manually every time. When the senior missionaries Elder and Sister Judd came to drop off the dryer they noticed the detergent spill, it was a little obvious ;) and rented us a carpet cleaner so that was super nice. We did that forever, then my comp and Elder Murphy forgot to make sure they had a sim card so they drove up here and we ended up having a blitz and all four of us were here but they made calls to Elder Murphy's area and me and Elder Holbrook did my area. Elder Holbrook and I related super well which was so awesome!! We talked about music and told stories a ton too so that was way way fun. They left around 5 to get back and receive a dinner a member was dropping off and me and Elder Ballard made some more calls here. Had a good comp study and now the best part of the day, sleep.

Fri: Woke up and had a ton of phone calls once again. I met Sister Dunaway however and shes from Alpine and just graduated a few years back and moved out here and got married and she bought us Wendy's and the craziest doughnuts for lunch and we talked for a bit and she was way nice! The Spackman's brought us pizza for dinner. Then we had a real good lesson with the Torgersens and they were super funny and asked us some deep questions that made us think and I loved it! It's so weird, there are so many inactive people who you would never think would be inactive out here :(. Then had an awesome lesson with Barbara and she wants ME to baptize her, IM SO EXCITED! Elder Ballard was telling me I'm a miracle *eye roll* but like I've said before Barbara has really only ever connected with one missionary who was the one before me, and so when he was transferred before she was baptized her dad David was terrified she wouldn't get baptized but we connected instantly, shes definitely one of the reasons I am here, it is so cool to see. The baptism will take place on my birthday weekend too!! Definitely a good day. Night

Sat: Today was sweet! Had a bunch of phone calls again and actually had a good amount of people answer! Had 3 super good lessons at night! The first with Sister Ruggles who's been trying to have a baby for 10 years and it finally happened! Sheis 30 weeks and pretty nervous about having the baby during this time with the virus and all... super sad. She had to cancel her baby shower :((. So it was super cool to share a message of hope with her and it went really well! Then while teaching the Newbell's their littlest kid fell asleep but I didn't think it was that boring! lol. Then the Rinehart's who brought us dinner agreed to have a lesson later and we did it and that went really good too! Pretty cool how you can really feel the spirit even if you are in totally different places since the lesson was taught via technology. Then worked out while my comp did District leader stuff, first leg day in awhile, definitely feeling it right now. Gotta blast

Sun: Today was sweet! Had an awesome lesson with the Dunways, and got to finally take the sacrament, super spiritual! Fasting was hard not gonna lie, I was never very good at that, but the past two months I've been good at doing it! No specific reason I just decided to be better ;). Had a super duper fun time having the sacrament and teaching a lesson with my family, such a cool opportunity to be able to do that. Had a few lessons cancel, but we got to give the sacrament to Sister Wauford, her story is pretty wild. Then had an awesome lesson with Marshelly and her mom! And the Green's! Then we went to go play my comps album in the car and get this....there's no CD player!! I thought all cars had those haha! I am super tired though busy day forsure.

Mon: Today was interesting haha. The morning went well, got some packages for my bday which has probably been my biggest temptation since I've been out on the mission, not being able to open them till the 12th :(. Had some phone calls, then had lunch and then few more calls then headed to the church, did some family history then played some basketball. while we were playing a homeless guy walked in the building cuz we left the door open... not your typical homeless guy, but he lives in his car and needed 49 bucks to pay his car payment. King Benjamin was screaming in my ear to give him the money since I had it and none of my possessions belong to me, but to God. However, Gods missionary guidelines tell me not to, and I knew that was the right thing to follow, so I didnt. We are going to figure out how we can help him get into one of the programs the church offers and he is interested in our message so we are meeting him at another church building tomorrow! Taught a few more lessons later and then started a sweet puzzle the Cook family sent me along with some other sweet treats and cards and better yet liquid gold... hand sanitizer!! Thank you!! Also a big thank you to the Braddy's for the king size candy bars and card game that is lost somewhere!! Now time for sleep.

Tues: Had an awesome day! Had a real good personal study, and then headed to district council. That went awesome, then talked a ton about music with Elder Oilar and Elder Holbrook, they are way cool! Got an oil change. Had an awesome lesson with the guy we met yesterday named Tim. It went awesome!! He was totally interested and he is meeting with the Bishop tomorrow to get some help. Came home had a great lesson with the Cameron's. Combined lunch and dinner since we skipped lunch, made a few more calls, and  finally, bed.
